Announcing Learning Lessons, Book 2 in Hill Top Adventures

Learning Lessons, Book 2 in Hill Top Adventures, is now available and will begin shipping right away!

Watch the video and read more below.

Learning Lessons

Emma’s world takes on a new sparkle now that she’s a Christian and learns to forgive Aunt Shannon for the accident that took her little sister’s life. But trouble is brewing with Landlady over Taffy.

The autumn days fly by with adventures at the coffee shop job, helping with Hunter’s leaf business, Hill Top’s city-wide yard sale, and a day at the library. All the while, tension builds with Landlady, and when Emma is faced with her biggest fear, what will she do?

Learning Lessons will keep you on the edge of your seat! I LOVED it!!!” Angélica, 11

“This book is not just for kids! I was very pleased with the strong messages of choosing to forgive, despite the devastating circumstances that may try to consume us… and also the power of loving people. It all felt very real and was easy to relate to.” Olivia, mom

The book also includes 10 illustrations, with three being double spreads (so 13 full-page illustrations). I’ll give you a peek below at one of my favorites. Learning Lessons is my longest book so far with 243 pages and 23 chapters.

Although I recommend reading Finding Change (Book 1 in Hill Top Adventures) first, it’s not absolutely necessary. I give enough hints of what happened in the last book, one could read this as a standalone.

Wholesome kids’ reading books are hard to find, and what could be better than gifting kids you love this Christmas with these books? Order 4 or more copies of Learning Lessons, and save 10%. Or, order all of my books for only $99. That’s over 2000 pages of quality reading! Also, free shipping for orders of $25* or more in the United States.

Don’t miss our announcement below of the 14th special edition of Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit also releasing today!

I’m so grateful for God’s grace in enabling me to get the book done this year.

“Blessed be the LORD God, the God of Israel,
who only doeth wondrous things” (Psalm 72:18).

Deadline Met, Sarah’s Book Goes to Press

My next title, soon to be revealed, is now at the printer! The deadline I’d set this summer for press was October 26th, and the print-ready files were finished Saturday afternoon, the 24th. God has been so gracious to me, and I’m thankful to be at this point. The book will be in perfect time for the holiday season.

We’ll be finalizing a launch day with all the information soon. I can’t wait to tell you more about the story!

Here are a few comments from test readers:

“Thought-provoking, life-changing truths that touched us all. We were so engaged. We were cheering at parts and always anticipating what would come next. ‘Keep reading’ was heard again and again!” Krista, mom

“I rate this book 11 out of 10. That’s how good the book is!” Ezra, 13

“In thy name shall they rejoice all the day:
and in thy righteousness shall they be exalted” (Psalm 89:16).

Books for Christian Kids that Make an Impact

Today is an exciting day for me as I begin writing the first draft of my last book Finding Change’s sequel. There’s something special about this part—watching with awe as a story unfolds into written form. It fills me with joy to have an opportunity to impact children’s lives through a book. I would love prayer for this book project if the Lord brings me to mind.

Over the years, one way the Lord sends encouragement is through letters and emails from readers. Here’s part of one email I received permission to share, along with these delightful pictures!

“We started reading Book 1: Summer with the Moodys today as a family during our read-aloud time. Before we started, my five-year-old was very excited to learn about the connection of you with the books mommy has been reading as I’ve been toting them around for the past few months now. He was also very excited that you believe in the Lord. I guess even small children know what a rare find good, Christian books are.

“Anyway, we read through the first chapter and he asked that I keep going. This was so timely for us today. When we were done, he asked me if I read him the first chapter to help him to remember to not be scared if he hears a noise at night and the second chapter to remind him to have a cheerful attitude during the day. His eyes were glued on me the whole time I was reading, but I didn’t realize the details his little five-year-old heart was picking up on. What a blessing! He’s never been that engaged with a book. I really enjoyed the first two chapters myself. I am looking forward to continuing through the series and will probably be purchasing some more sets for gifts in the future. 😉

“Just wanted to share what a blessing your book has been for us today. Thank you for serving the Lord with small children in mind! I pray the Lord continues to lead you down a path of writing.” — Hannah

“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of
the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity”

(1 Timothy 4:12).

Finding Change In Stock Today!

Today is the day Finding Change arrives here at Titus2. We’re gearing to begin shipping pre-orders this afternoon.

I’m so excited for the heart-pull of the plot and characters.

Without the help of many, this book wouldn’t be here. From my family, to the pilot testers who listened to my plot to the real testers to others I turned to for advice to my cheerleaders, y’all know who you are! I truly am so grateful!

Mary, my sister, gave it her all and spent countless hours from September-October crafting the illustrations and cover. She pulled it off beautifully.

To celebrate recently, we girls took a long run in a pretty area and got coffee on our way home. Part of our run took us through a quiet, cozy town, one I had actually considered patterning Hill Top after but instead chose another.

If you’re debating about the perfect gift for a child you love this Christmas, this book could have an eternal impact on their life.

Doesn’t the picture make you smile? This is a test reader’s response when they finished the book.

From a test mom: “You wove so much into a book, and it hit every emotion.
We laughed and cried and agonized and cheered.
The character development was incredible.
We adored the characters.
Like, we LOVE LOVE LOVE the characters.
My kids are STILL talking about them!”

“And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always
having all sufficiency in all
things, may abound to every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:8

Announcing Sarah’s New Book, Finding Change

Finding Change, my newest fiction book, has the potential to change a kid’s life. Watch the video to hear more.

Finding Change, Book 1 in Hill Top Adventures

Ten-year-old Emma and her younger brother, Ethan, have just moved to the tight-knit community of Hill Top, which Emma hopes will be their home for a long time. But trouble brews for Dad’s job, and uncertain times shake their home.

The bake contest lures Emma to church, and she’s flooded with memories of a tragic event and the bitterness it left. Ups and downs and twists and turns fill the pages of Finding Change until a dreaded visit by her aunt brings Emma face-to-face with the biggest decision of her life.

“This book could almost be called Zero Gravity,
because I just can’t put it down.” – Ezra, 11

Nine, full-page illustrations give the story an amazing pop. Here are three of them below.

Pre-order bonus: I’ll sign the first 300 copies of Finding Change before November 26th. We estimate books to begin shipping the week of November 26th.
