Prayer and Fasting Day | November 9th

November 9th we will have a day of prayer and fasting. During that day, I will fast and pray alongside those of you who would like to join me in fasting and praying.

On the sign up link, there is a place to put your specific requests. I will lift up those prayer requests with you throughout the day. The requests are not shared with others but only prayed for and known by myself and my girls, if they are joining me for some seasons of prayer during the day.

The moms who have been part of the prayer and fasting days in the past have indicated that it is a special time of crying out to the Lord and closeness to Him. I know it is for me! They have liked having a sister in Christ pray with them over their specific concerns and have found the fasting to be easier knowing other sisters around the world are fasting at the same time.

If you are pregnant, nursing, or have a health reason that prohibits you from fasting from food, you can still be part. Some in that situation have fasted from media, sweets, or even from chewing by getting their calories and nutrition from smoothies, broths, or other liquefied foods.

For men who are interested in prayer and fasting with Steve, you have the option of one or more days starting Saturday, November 7th, and ending Monday morning, November 16th. Choose a day(s) that works for you. Steve is fasting and praying that whole time. Sorry, ladies, I can’t manage that long of a fast so you only have one day offered!

Trusting in Jesus,
Teri

“Give ear, O LORD, unto my prayer;
and attend to the voice of my supplications.”
(Psalm 86:6)

Prayer and Fasting Day: Monday, March 23rd

We have planned another prayer and fasting day for Monday, March 23rd.

Teri will spend the day fasting and praying for specific needs in the lives of ladies. Steve will be praying and fasting with the men.

To join the prayer and fasting day, we ask that you fast and pray too. For pregnant or nursing moms or those with health issues that prevent them from fasting, you can choose a different type of fast. We have had some fast from sweets, some from media, one creative mom fasted from chewing—she made smoothies for herself when she needed to eat!

We will stop eating after dinner on the 22nd and not eat again until breakfast on Tuesday.

These are the sign-up links where we ask for your name, e-mail address, and prayer request.

We will send out a reminder e-mail before the fast day and perhaps one or two during it.

Here are a few testimonies that were shared after the last fast:

“I had a deep sense of peace and joy during this fast.”

“I feel very blessed. Nobody has ever fasted with me or for me that I know of.”

“My trust in God has grown even through these last few hours.”

“I was nervous starting because I had never fasted before. I am so grateful for the things the Lord revealed to me about myself. I have a lot of work to do on my attitude towards circumstances. I felt a peace around 6:45 and was overcome with joy.”

“During our day of fasting I feel the Lord gave me a very specific idea for how to relate to our struggling son that has already proven effective.”

“A huge praise is my husband prayed with me in the morning; that is more than a praise—it is a miracle.”

“And I set my face unto the Lord God,
to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting,
and sackcloth, and ashes” (Daniel 9:3)
