I enjoyed taking some natural light photos with Calia yesterday afternoon. She’s such a sweet little girl and very cooperative for getting in position!
Love, Sarah
Joseph and his little Calia We didn’t end up having time to do this the other day. I guess it’s our signature photo, so I really wanted to capture it.
Waking up.
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Matthew 6:21
Saturday afternoon, Christopher took Calia’s pictures. There’s something positively adorable about newborns. It was a joy to help him as we worked to get family pictures along with photos of Calia.
Headband idea implemented and carried out by Anna Marie. She took the bow off Bethany’s flower girl dress and put it on a headband. Elissa and her little girl
My favorite! We saw this pose idea online and tried to replicate it.
In between photo sets, I was holding Calia, and Anna Marie grabbed this photo.
“Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.” Psalm 127:3
“For if ye shall diligently keep all these commandments which I command you, to do them, to love the LORD your God, to walk in all his ways, and to cleave unto him…” Deuteronomy 11:22
Calia Grace Maxwell was born to Elissa and I last night, October 4th. With a headful of dark hair, she’s a little doll.
Elissa is doing very well and enjoying her bundle of joy. The labor went fast, especially for it being Elissa’s first. I was blessed to support Elissa throughout labor, and I’m thrilled to have Calia here.
Calia means “Beautiful” in Greek. As we prayed about what to name a little girl, the LORD kept directing us back to this. We love it because God’s grace is beautiful. He has transformed our lives through His grace, and we pray and believe that He will transform this sweet little girl into a beautiful, shining light for His glory.
Here are some pictures to tide you over until the real newborn session later.
For those who like details, Calia weighed 5 lbs, 13 oz.
