Little known facts about Jesse:

He’s amazingly strong and extremely fit. (Remember, he’s the one who will summit a 14er, and then go back down to carry someone else’s pack up. That’s amazing.)
He’s very organized.
He drinks his coffee with no sweeteners.
He makes a lawn look incredible.
He’s awesome with public speaking and can share a powerful message the Lord has laid on his heart.

Happy Birthday to a most amazing mom! We love you so much and are very grateful the Lord gave you to us. What a special way to celebrate with all your family in the mountains today. Little known facts about Mom:

She will do anything to help a family member out.
Her favorite activity is hiking in the woods with her family.
She is a great Moody-idea-maker.
She is a fantastic editor.
She loves cookie dough.
She is incredible with planning family things and keeping things organized.

Happy 40th Anniversary also to Dad and Mom! God has been gracious and merciful to you both. We praise the Lord for giving us such godly, faithful parents! Little known facts about Dad and Mom:

They were only going to have 3 children (Sarah being the last).
They weren’t saved until they’d been married a few years.
In their earlier years, they loved to run. Dad has run marathons and Mom ran some other races. Now, they enjoy hiking ;).
They make a wonderful husband/wife writing team and spend many hours working together on writing projects.

Happy Birthday to the most amazing dad! You are God’s gift to our family. We’re grateful for the example you set to dads all over the world, and that you live out what you preach.

Little known facts about Dad:

His favorite times of the day are morning and evening Bible time.
He can make awesome popcorn!
He enjoys kettle bell workouts.
He loves to spend time with his family and will do so at any opportunity he has.
He definitely likes an adventure. He’s wanted to reach the top of a mountain near the cabin we stay at in Colorado. He’s been very patient and enjoyed trying twice, but bad weather and route finding challenges turned us around. Maybe this year, Dad!

Joshua Turns Two

We celebrated Joshua’s birthday at the park with pizza and cupcakes. It was a wonderful summer evening. The children loved playing on the playground and running to their hearts’ content. Sweaty smiles and birthday songs floated around as Joshua blew out his candles. He was quite delighted with the whole evening, and his cute giggles were a delight to everyone. He loves Gigi’s “lawn mower” and was pleased to take it for a spin.

Joshua loves to toss rocks into the water and watch the splash.

Happy 25th Birthday, Joseph!

Happy Birthday, Joseph! We are so blessed by your life and testimony for the Lord Jesus.

Joseph is the first reversal child in our family. Praise the Lord for Dad and Mom’s change of heart. We can’t imagine life without Joseph, John, Anna, Jesse, and Mary.
Joseph is your “eat-any-kind-of-leftover-guy” without question. When the refrigerator is being cleared out, and there’s a least-liked leftover, Joseph’s your all-around-great-guy to eat it.
He enjoys preaching or teaching, and he especially loves to theme his message around holidays. Sunday he preached a great Resurrection Sunday message.
When he was a little guy, he would pretend to play the guitar and would sing in front of the record player (wow, that was a lot of years ago!). He now is awesome on the guitar.
He’s a great ITonRamp instructor!
He lives for the Lord Jesus and will do anything and everything to please Him.
