We are pleased to announce that Melanie is expecting, due in May. Specifically, due on Abby’s birthday. Announcements like this are always a mixed blessing as we hope for another child to hold, and concern over the inevitable challenges that pregnancies bring. We are grateful for an OB that handles Melanie’s “high risk” label with appropriate care. We are grateful for progesterone prescriptions. Melanie is extremely grateful when I remember to replace the draw needle with the injection needle (hint, the draw needle is much larger). We are also grateful to have families that value children and support us in these journeys.
Benjamin is not quite sure he wants to give up his family “baby” status, but the rest of the children are extremely excited. We covet your prayers these next five months.

“But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Suffer little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God.” Luke 18:16
The two youngest Maxwells each got their own photo session. We often try for the 1-week mark for pictures. For Elizabeth’s photos, Christopher transformed his living room into a mini studio. Christopher and Anna Marie’s family has really grown, so when it came time to pictures with all five children, wow! Trying to arrange all five, get them to look at the camera, and keep the photo framed properly, whew! It’s an exercise.
Elizabeth Grace
Christopher took this one–she was so content.
This is arranging them all.
I loved this picture of Danny.
I guess we told them to look at the baby. The boys got the memo but the girls did not.

Now, on to Kyle’s. I did his with natural light. Definitely challenging, as Christopher is a pro with setups and light and poses, but it was great to push myself and work on creative shots.
This was taken with a black blanket as the background and using natural light from the window.
The sweet siblings.
I love this photo. So very sweet. Mommy and Baby.
This was a feat to get! 🙂
Sweet Kyle.
Happy little guy
“We will not hide them from their children, shewing to the generation to come the praises of the Lord, and his strength, and his wonderful works that he hath done.” Psalm 78:4
Last night, Joseph and Elissa welcomed Kyle Jeremiah Maxwell.

He weighed 8 lbs 4 oz. Both Elissa and Kyle are doing amazing! Big sister Calia loves him, and when asked what she thought, she said, “He’s cute!”

“Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)
Elizabeth Grace was born this morning (February 23rd), at 4:21 a.m.! This precious bundle of 9 lb. 5 oz. has been met with delighted enthusiasm. Anna Marie and Elizabeth are doing great; we were blessed with a smooth labor and delivery.
Elizabeth: Consecrated to God Grace: God’s unmerited favor
Our prayer is that Elizabeth will be one whose obedience and consecration to God make her a channel of His grace to others.

“And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.” (Luke 1:6)
Yes, thankful the baby came before the family hit the road for Fort Smith! I (Sarah) am staying back to help with childcare.

It’s with great excitement we share the happy news of Benjamin Steven Maxwell’s safe arrival into the world Tuesday evening, at 9:45 p.m.
More later, but thank you so much for praying! We are delighted he is here, and Mommy and Baby are doing well. No NICU time for Benjamin! He weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces, and isn’t his dark hair and chubby cheeks so totally adorable?
Love, Sarah
