Kaboom Went the Tree

Okay, y’all have to understand we {{dearly}} love our little nieces and nephew, and their funny antics add a sparkle to life. The almost two-year-olds sometimes get stuck on something, meaning events are a big deal and the story is often repeated. For example, Joshua watched the last tree being cut down, and his big thing was talking about the tree going “kaboom.”

Well, since this was such a big hit with Joshua, Dad had a great idea for him to help with another tree we needed to take down.

Tuesday, late afternoon, all the Maxwell grandchildren gathered to watch. Notice the progression in the pictures, and maybe you’ll figure out how we did it.

Love,
Sarah

“Who is among you that feareth the LORD,
that obeyeth the voice of his servant,
that walketh in darkness, and hath no light?
let him trust in the name of the LORD,

Odds and Ends at the Maxwells’

Life has slowed down some with the new book being done. Dad and Mom invested much time and effort into Buying a House Debt-Free, and a number of us also helped out. We’re excited to pick up the books from the printer early in the week. I’m dreaming Moodys again, and Book #9’s outline is in the final stage. Lord willing, I’ll be writing very soon. If any of you Moody readers have ideas for things you’d like to see in future books, I’d love to hear from you.

It is also delightful to see spring emerging, with buds appearing on the trees, grass becoming greener, and some days feeling warmer.

I’m grateful for every day the Lord gives to serve Him. No matter where the Lord has us in life, He always has opportunities to minister. It could be something as simple as an encouraging card you send to a fellow believer, bringing a meal to someone who needs it, or having neighbors over for dinner. May we each be busy about what Jesus wants us to do.

Treasure each moment! Here are random photos from the last two weeks.

Love,
Sarah

Sometimes one has to be creative, and we needed a picture to go along with the March Corner, so Anna helped me out.

It's time we introduce you to Chickie Mama, and this isn't something new. We'll do a special post on her and her chickens another time.

Working At Joseph’s House

Life is busy with writing projects, life, and music practice (more on that later).

Saturday, Dad, Joseph, and Jesse took time to work at Joseph’s house, including painting and installing door handles. It’s awesome to see the main floor being finished out.

Watch for a recipe post from Anna soon!

With Gratefulness,
Sarah

Many Hands Make Light Work

Last night, after dinner and Bible time, some of us went to Joseph’s house for a quick work party. The reason for the party? Dad and Mom will be writing at Joseph’s house soon (exciting!), and because of ongoing construction projects, the house needed a bit of cleaning. We wiped down walls, floorboards, door frames, and cleaned the floors and bathrooms. It was awesome to work together ;).

Joyfully His,
Sarah

Continued Progress

BTW – we still have an Omaha conference report coming, as well as something we did Monday afternoon, which we’ll post about too.

For now, I’ll leave you with a sampling of today’s pictures. The work is progressing!
