To kick-start your week, we want to share a video Teri did to encourage moms. Let’s face it. Homeschool moms have a ton on their plate. Teri’s experienced what it’s like to homeschool multiple grades, manage babies and toddlers, and still keep the house in order. Those days weren’t easy, but the Lord gave her grace and creativity to fit in what she needed to do.

“I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.” 1 Timothy 5:14
Sunflower’s Christmas Miracle is a book I’m passionate about. It’s no secret I love Christmas, and I’ve had a dream of writing Christmas novels. I wrote my first one in 2014, and this autumn, another story took shape.
Christmas is right around the corner in Sunflower, and life is full of surprises. Some good, some not. Mr. Gibson is at the root of them, but what can twelve-year-old Moses do? At the town hall meeting, Moses is proud to watch his older brother stand up against opposition, but the new piece of information is troubling. When their Christmas season turns into a crisis, can Moses handle what’s before him? Sunflower’s Christmas Miracle will tug your heartstrings in this incredible story of hope and love.
This book has a slightly older audience, as I reached for ages 8-14, with my main character being 12. I brought the Moodys back in, although they’re now ages 12-21. This book is a stand alone from the rest of the Moody Family Series.
Pre-order bonus: I’ll sign the first 200 copies of Sunflower’s Christmas Miracle. Books will begin shipping on December 5th. This is a perfect read for your holiday season! Grab a copy for your family and another to give away. For more information or to pre-order, stop by our online store.
I am excited about Sunflower’s Christmas Miracle. Dream. Come. True.
Also, while we’re announcing new things, Preparing Sons has received a face lift, inside and out (the content is the same). Pre-order your copy as it makes a great Christmas gift for Christian families with sons! They will begin shipping at the same time as the Christmas title.
“Delight thyself also in the Lord; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” Psalm 37:4
We are so close to the announcement and launching pre-orders! This has been a very intense season for me of writing, editing, and then the final wrap up. God has given me grace when I thought things looked impossible.
My gratefulness also goes to my family for all their help, to the copyeditor for turning it around under a tight deadline, and to Mary for pouring her heart into 10 beautiful illustrations. We even have an awesome cookie recipe, special thanks to Anna for perfecting and testing it to ensure the details were correct.
Tuesday morning is the day! Can’t wait.
“Commit thy way unto the Lord; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass.” Psalm 37:5
Y’all, I’m really excited. This week is a big week for my new book. Many details are being wrapped up, and then the book is headed to press on Monday.
That’s why we’re in the countdown stage. We’ll be releasing the book for pre-orders Tuesday, November 21st, at 10AM, Central. Watch the blog for details.
God has been very gracious to me on this exciting journey. I’m overwhelmed by the countless times He gave grace and provided exactly what was needed. My family enabled me by taking over responsibilities so I could focus on the book. They also spent many hours giving valuable feedback as I edited. Friends have encouraged and cheered me on. This book included a first for me. I knew with tight deadlines there was only one way to accomplish it. Say hello to 4 a.m. wake ups.
I will give you another clue. This is a Christmas story—my favorite kind of story.
“Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!” Psalm 107:8
I’m thrilled to share with you the Titus2 project we’ve been hard at work since spring.
Completely revised! What resource could be better than Managers of Their Homes to bring families peace and order? The answer is the newly revised Managers of Their Homes!
Managers of Their Homes has been thousands of moms’ go-to resource for the past 17 years. But with time, comes even more experience besides our own and the pilot families who tested it out. We’ve gained new insights that we realized were vital to include in this treasured book.
Each chapter has been extensively revised and more helpful tips added. You’ll also find a special chapter on how to schedule when a mom faces health challenges or is on bedrest. Plus, what good is a schedule if you can’t make it run smoothly? Schedules ARE stress-busters, but you need the proper tools to make it that way. So with that in mind, we’ve given practical help on implementing despite the challenges you face. In addition, the chapter on putting your schedule together with the included Scheduling Kit gives an optional route if you choose to subscribe to the online scheduling software (ScheduleBreeze).
The book’s new design and format makes for a super easy and comfortable read. Grab your revised copy of Managers of Their Homes now!
Even if you have the book, think about another mom you could bless. For those dads reading this post, consider the impact this simple book and session could have on your wife.
One mom said: “This book was by far one of the best books I’ve read. It is not just for homeschooling moms, but any mom who wants to be the best mom she can be. It was challenging, enlightening and encouraging.”
