Hello everyone! I wanted to share great news with y’all. I’m feeling AMAZING! In late February, my doctor suggested it was time for me to see a concussion specialist. The specialist tested me and prescribed a combination of physical therapy (at home!) and medicine for five weeks. By my third visit to the specialist, I felt good! At that visit, they tested again, and I “aced” their tests. They released me to embrace life with a return to my normal activities! To celebrate later that week, I went on my first run in 9 months and didn’t experience dizziness or headaches afterward. I love feeling like myself once more.

In other news, I purchased my first car. I’m grateful to have used the family’s car all these years as it has saved me so much, and I appreciate Dad and Mom’s generosity. I asked Dad to car shop with me last week. I wanted a vehicle that was reliable and would last a long time. After driving several vehicles (multiple times) and going to two dealerships, the next day, I purchased a Honda Accord with low miles.

I’m thankful for the Lord filling my life with work, ministry, church, and family. I’m also grateful for all your interest and concern in how I’m feeling. It’s been quite the past year, and I don’t wish to repeat another concussion!

    And congratulations on your new car as well. The folks I know who drive accords are all very happy with them (personally, whenever I see one, I immediately think of John 12:49, lol! Probably not a bad thing to get that little Bible verse reminder now and then).

    1. Thanks, Katie! Well, I did want red (originally) going into shopping but I soon found that wouldn’t be much of an option. Most vehicles aren’t that color. Well, amazingly, it worked out!

  13. So glad you are doing better! Honda accords are really good cars! We have one and in almost 7 years that we’ve owned one, it has given us very little trouble. 🙂

    Yes, God has been opening doors for me in my road of ministry, from unexpected places. It’s been amazing to see Him work that way, and I’ve been learning alot about trust and patience. I’m not a patient person, by an means, but God has been good.

  18. Thank you for the update. I have been very remiss in emailing you, but you have been in my prayers. Head injuries are no joke, and I am so glad you are on the downhill side of this. Huge congratulations on the car purchase. I love the color!!

    1. 🙂 Yes, I have a completely new “appreciation” for what concussion patients suffer from. I’m grateful to be on the other side of it.

    I’m so glad you are over the concussion and cleared from the doctor! I can’t imagine how bad you must have hit your head!!! I had no idea it would take so long to get over a concussion!!! I know you are so happy to be back doing your normal activities!

      Thanks! Right now, I’m not actively working on the next book. I’m working full weeks lately. Nut sure what the timing will be on Book #3.
