More Special Memories

Happy Monday! I know we’re a month past Christmas, but we still have some Christmas memories to share of the day itself. Christmas Day tends to be quieter since we do our big extended family Christmas on the 24th.

We enjoyed a relaxing morning with leftovers from the day before and then exchanged some gifts.

We moved on to making cookies for our police force, which is a yearly tradition, and a friend from church joined us. We also played games and went on a walk. Gigi came over for a mid-afternoon “big” meal, and we had such a sweet time.

While the cookies cooled, we took a walk.

and he delighteth in his way” (Psalm 37:23).

  1. It looks like such a nice day together and I love that you baked cookies for your police officers. They certainly deserve to be appreciated! I also want to send belated happy birthday wishes for both Simon Peter and Sarah’s birthdays last week. How special that they are only one day apart. I was deeply touched by Anna Marie’s reflections upon everything she has been through over the past year. I have such admiration for her positive outlook and gratitude in all circumstances.

  2. Thank you for sharing the Christmas pictures. I do love seeing Arnold involved. Such a great tradition you have and I bet the cookies are appreciated! This has been another tough year for our police and first responders. Every time I see a police car rushing to help or fire truck and an ambulance I pray out loud for them.

  3. Fun pictures! I have enjoyed following your blog for many years.
My husband and I are looking to purchase a larger table for our growing family. I am curious how many your table comfortably seats and how many inches it is fully extended. Blessings, Maureen

    1. I think we’ll do a blog post to answer your questions. We can measure the table on Sunday when it has all the leaves in it. And then I can share a little about why we chose what we did and what we think about it. Will plan for that blog post next week in case you are wanting to buy soon.
