Learning Lessons, More Than a Story

Learning Lessons, Book 2 in Hill Top Adventures, is more than a story. It’s filled with life lessons, pointing children to Jesus and encouraging them in family relationships, all through an engaging plot.

One thing I love during this holiday season is talking to grandparents who call to order gifts for their grandkids. Such a special thing!

My Mom’s December Mom’s Corner is on reading books for kids.

With Christmas approaching, are you evaluating Christmas gifts for children? Perhaps you are concerned not to add to the clutter of toys in the home and also want to avoid the worldliness that is part of most of the toys. Books are a good alternative to toys since they take up little space, help a child develop reading skills, are profitable for use of a child’s time, and if the reading material is good, can even move them along in their thinking abilities and maturity. Read the December Mom’s Corner.

Orders continue to ship out six days a week from our location here in Kansas.

Learning Lessons is not just for kids! I was very pleased with the strong messages of choosing to forgive, despite the devastating circumstances that may try to consume us… and also the power of loving people, even when they are nasty to us. It all felt very real and was easy to relate to.” Olivia, mom

  1. Hi Sarah,
Our book has arrived in the Uk and we are going to read it together as a read aloud.
Looks amazing! Before we start we are going to finish a read aloud about Lottie Moon. She went to China as a missionary and is a super read too.
Lots of love to you all and every blessing

  2. We are loving this book!
The theme of forgiveness under devastating circumstances reminds us of our choice to forgive under similar situations. Thank you for writing this.

  3. Hopefully, this isn’t too off topic, but I wanted to compliment you on the bottom photo in this post. I especially like your flowered vest and have never seen one like it. Would you mind sharing where you bought it?

    Thank you!

      1. Thank you. I’m going to keep my eyes peeled for one like it. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  4. Hey Sarah!
I just wanted to let you know how much I LOVE your books! I’ve read every book you’ve written, and each of them have helped me in my walk with Christ. My mom said we got your very first book right after you wrote it. I was an infant then. I remember her reading them at loud to my siblings and I. Once I was old enough to read, I started reading them by myself. I honestly cannot remember how many times I’ve read the Moody series through!
I’m now a college student. When I saw you finished writing “Learning Lessons”, I was sooooo excited! It was hard to stay focused on my classes because I was so eager to get home for Christmas Break to read the book. I was thrilled that my younger sister got the book as her Christmas present, so I borrowed it from her and just finished reading it!
Your writing skills are amazing! The lessons can be applied to college students and older people, too!? Anyway, I just wanted to thank you for your faithfulness in writing, and please don’t stop writing! Your books have been and will continue making an impact in people’s lives.

    1. Lydia,

Thank you for this comment. It’s a blessing to me to know how the Lord has used the books in your life. Lord willing, I’ll be working on Book #3 soon. During this season, I’m grateful I can take the time for writing. Thanks for your encouragement.
