Campaigning in the Neighborhood

Yesterday morning, Nathan and Melanie’s kids decided to campaign from their driveway. They all made signs and then went out front as people in the neighborhood were on their way to work. Folks honked, waved, and some ignored as they drove by. These kids have also spent many hours with their family doing local campaigning for Kansas races. This was such a cute picture, I just had to share!

“Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake:
whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them
that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of
them that do well” (1 Peter 2:13-14).

  1. Some try to say our country has no chance for a free country in the future, because of young people. This photo proves how overly pessimistic that is. I met kids everywhere all over this country that have been taught the importance of freedom. We aren’t out as a country and it never depends on one election. We have endured more than a few incompetent presidents over the years, in the 70’s one gave us 28% interest rates. People said the American dream was dead, as long as Christ is the focal point of our lives America is alive and well for the believer. The polls can attempt to discourage but we still get to vote and many get that LIFE is a gift from God and can’t be tampered with.

  2. I believe this is my first time ever commenting. But I love that pic! Kiddos are super adorable. The patriotic spirit is strong! Grandad would be so proud!

  3. I love what Randy said! Thank you, Randy! Still praying, hoping, standing, and waiting. Lots of waiting!

  4. How could anyone ignore those beautiful children & that sweet scene?! And the child holding the flag is so sweet & so inspiring. Thanks for sharing this today, Ms. Maxwell.
