We’re so excited to share with you the first installment of Jesse and Anna’s wedding pictures. It’s been a long time coming, but it took me two months to even give them pictures due to my book and website projects.
Where do we start? Jesse and Anna, like most couples during COVID, navigated a huge twist to their wedding planning. Yet, their ultimate desire was to have family and some close friends witness their marriage covenant before God. They willingly and graciously gave up their large(r) wedding and reception plans.
So much had changed in a few short months, including Anna Marie leaving for treatment (and the week of the wedding, she was in the hospital!). We missed Joseph and family along with Gigi who felt it best to stay back and watch the wedding remote due to the COVID situation.
Saturday, May 23rd, dawned beautiful and bright. Mom and Dad cared for Christopher and Anna Marie’s children on the wedding day, which was no small feat with 5 under 7.
Christopher and I photographed the wedding together. The day started about 8:30 when the girls arrived. I took getting ready photos and Christopher started Jesse’s formals about an hour later.
This bridal party was a lively bunch consisting of all family except for one groomsman!

“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother,
and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh”
(Genesis 2:24).
Beautiful! Thank you for sharing.
I’m so glad you enjoyed them. They’ll be more coming! 🙂
Those are lovely. Anna’s dress was beautiful. You did a great job on the pictures, Sarah! May the couple have a long blessed marriage.
Thank you! Yes, I agree, her dress was so pretty!
Wow! So beautiful! I appreciated seeing such modest dresses! I love the appliqué on the bridesmaid dresses! So pretty!
Amen!
I 2nd that I appreciated seeing the modest attire! Beautiful pictures and a wonderful example for my daughter to see :).
The pictures are absolutely beautiful!! Congrats to them!
I thought the wedding was the 23rd, not 26th though. The 23rd was a Saturday.
Yes, you’re right. We can blame it on my not checking the calendar or the fact that my injury has flared back up and I’ve not been feeling well the past few days.
I’m sorry you’ve not been feeling well, Sarah. I’m praying for you!
Thanks, Amy! I’m thankful my book was off to the copyeditor when it hit, and by Saturday, I found something that helped. With the injury I had, I’ll likely experience symptoms for months to come.
Beautiful pictures!, Beautiful couple!, Beautiful family!
Just BEAUTIFUL AND BLESSED!! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks!
Thanks so much for sharing!
Anna’s dress is so pretty. Is it homemade or did she purchase it? I just love the lace!
Thanks again for sharing,
Lea
She purchased it!
Thank you for sharing. Will you be sharing the newly married couple’s “back story”?
You’re welcome! I’m not sure! It depends on the couple and their privacy. We’ll see.
Love the bridesmaid’s dresses! Did someone make them or were they bought? If they were bought where did they come from?
They were purchased. I believe from Amazon, but I’m not sure?
These pictures are great!!! The bouquets are just beautiful!!!!! They really stood out!! Loved the colors of the bridesmaids dresses! Teri, your dress was beautiful!! Looked so good on you!!!! It really looked like everyone was having a fun time!!! Can’t wait to see more!
Anna did a beautiful picking out flowers and pulling the colors together. Yes, Mom did look gorgeous! It’s a dress she’s worn for at least one of the brother’s weddings.
Beautiful photos, Sarah! And agreed, I love Anna’s dress. The beading on her dress, and the bridesmaids dresses, is beautiful and really works well with the simple shapes. Thank you for sharing these!
Thanks, Katie!
I soooooooooooo love the photos!
