Mother’s Day Recap

Mother’s Day truly was a beautiful day to celebrate God’s gift of our mom, and the moms He has in our lives!

Here is the recap.

  • Special breakfast per Mom’s request: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins and yogurt and fruit
  • Amazing outdoor church service with fellow believers
  • Chicken enchiladas with Christopher’s crew and our immediate family
  • Maxwell Family (everyone!) walk around the block. This truly was a highlight. I loved seeing the kids riding their bikes, laughing, skipping, running together, and just so happy! After our walk, Dad and Anna served cookies and ice cream.

Enjoy a peek into the day below.

What about you? We’d love to hear a highlight from your Mother’s Day!

It was quite chilly here, so some sat in vehicles for the service, and others in lawnchairs.

“Give her of the fruit of her hands;
and let her own works praise her in the gates.”
Proverbs 31:31

  1. Your husband and children are truly blessed, Teri 🙂 🙂 🙂

Looks like they did an amazing job of celebrating you on Mother’s Day!

Our children wrote me lovely sticky notes and some drew pictures, which are all in the front of my Bible now. I enjoyed being the one to choose a song at evening Bible time, and the chocolate and sweets gifts were special…

Thanks for all you’ve given to me and us here over the years, Teri, our “homeschool Mum”. I’m praying for your ministry to Christopher and Ana-Marie’s family and it’s really neat to see how beaming the children are through the love and energies they are receiving.

    1. I am the one who is blessed! So glad it was a good Mother’s Day for you with your children. Thank you for praying for Anna Marie, her family caring for her in WA, and Christopher, the children, and our support team. I am grateful I can be a “homeschool Mum” to you. I love seeing what the Lord has done and is doing in your life!

  2. This post made me smile! 🙂
Thank you for sharing about your family’s lovely day, and I hope Teri and all the Maxwell Moms felt special. The family walk in the neighborhood looked like such fun! All the children are so precious.

This was the first Mother’s Day since I became a mom (in 1984) that I didn’t have at least one of my children with me (due to the virus restrictions and distance). But I had a delightful day and felt blessed, because all three children phoned me, and we had sweet conversations. 🙂

Prayers continue for dear Anna Marie.
Thank you again for sharing this post and photos—your family is an inspiration to so many!
    Love, Mrs. Patti

    1. From what I heard, all the Maxwell moms felt special, even Anna Marie as her husband and children blessed her from a distance. Thank you for praying for Anna Marie, and I am very glad that you had a good Mother’s Day despite the separation required by the virus restrictions at this time.

  3. To all the Mums out there,
Make the most of Mother’s Day!!!
We made our 68 year old Granny climb the top of the biggest mountain in Cornwall.
    We live in the U.K.
And it definitely was NOT the biggest mountain in the World, but we did tease her !!!
    Lots of love
    The B. Family

  4. Thank you for sharing all the pictures from Mother’s Day. Your family is so very blessed!

I had a nice surprise Sunday morning to find out our kids were going to sing at church and asked me what they should sing. So I got to hear my two favorite songs they sing, “God’s Already There” and “I Have Been Blessed”. Then we shared a meal with my husband’s parents. That was our first meal with them since all of the covid-19 began. It was nice to start seeing a little more normalcy to life.

  5. Hi
I was wondering what you all do for worship. Do you go to the nursing home as you have done years past or do you’ll worship at a church now with your local community? Thanks
Also thankyou for the updates regarding Anna-marie

    1. The past several years our church has been in a retirement apartment complex. In the middle of March that facility closed to all activities that involved people coming in from the outside so that meant no more church there. We watched live streams of other local churches for several weeks and the past two have attended the outdoor service at a local church.

      1. Very sweet.
My brother in law has just done the same for his mum. Shw is battling stomach cancer. She has a real peace too, knowing God is in control
