Anna Marie Headed to Washington

We want to share an update on Anna Marie’s journey. Plans have fallen into place very quickly, and Anna Marie will write at some point. This morning, she and baby Simon Peter will fly to Seattle. She’ll get her first dose of chemo yet this week and undergo weekly chemo treatments for about 12 weeks.

Please pray for the entire family and please also lift up her health and protection with the pandemic going on.

Back on the home front, Mom, Anna, and Mary will help Christopher with the other kiddos.

In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock
of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.” Psalms 62:7

  1. That is excellent news that things fell together quickly for her to get to Washington, God is so good!
I will keep her in my prayers as she does chemo and is away from her babies, that must be so hard for all of them!

  2. I’ll be praying for Anna Marie and for all of you. This is very near to my heart. My best friend of 31 years is losing her battle with cancer. She’s a precious sister in Christ. Homeschool mom to 5 kids and 3 grandkids.
Is someone going with Anna Marie to help her with the baby?

So thankful for our good Father who loves us so and is sovereign over all. Working all things for our good and His glory. Praise His name!

    1. Anna Marie is flying home with her sister who has been here for several weeks. It is a huge blessing that Anna Marie’s family only lives 45 minutes or so from where she will receive her treatment so she will stay with them. That means lots of great help with the baby from Anna Marie’s parents and sister and care for Anna Marie, if she isn’t feeling well after the chemo.

  3. Thank you for the update! I will be praying for Anna Marie’s travels and her time in Washington with baby Simon Peter as well as successful chemo treatments with little side effects. The Easter photo is beautiful…such a sweet family!

    Love to all,

  4. I want to encourage Anna Marie with her treatment. I have a cousin who ignored a lump in her breast until it was too late and she passed away at a young age. At the same time, I have close friend who had a lump removed from her breast, followed by chemo and radiation. She has now been cancer-free for years. My husband also has a cousin who was diagnosed with breast cancer, but following chemotherapy, she, too, has been cancer-free for years. My brother’s sister-in-law had the same experience. All three are now living very full lives with no return of their cancer. We are praying the same for you!! 🙂

  5. Oh such good news!!! I’ll pray everything goes smoothly with her treatments and that she doesn’t feel too awful after. I do know the other side of the coin is she’ll miss her husband and children. Prayers for everyone that this will work perfectly and her body will be healed. And that everyone is ok without mom for a few months.

  6. I’m praying for her. I’m so glad to hear she is able to come to Seattle for care. I’m assuming she will be at SCCA and UW which have the best personal cancer care ever!

  7. I am so happy she will have her family near by!!! What a blessing!! This will be nice for all of them since they live so far away from each other. Glad to know Anna Marie and Simon Peter will be well taken care of! But I will be praying for everyone because it will be hard for her to be away from her children, and I know they will miss her dearly. So glad y’all will be there to help and support Christopher and kids during this time!

  8. Is Anna doing traditional chemotherapy in Washington or is this the other kind of chemo you referenced in a previous blog post? ?

  9. Will continue to pray for her and her family. Also, all of the Maxwell’s. So happy to hear of her family will be there to help her!

  10. Anna Marie, you are in my prayers as you step into this new stage in your journey. May Jesus give you strength, encouragement, and peace for your days. I am praying for a successful outcome, with minimal side effects. Your family is also in my prayers, as you each adjust to being apart from one another. I am thankful that you will be able to be with your parents and sister during this time.

  11. Very thankful that things fell into place quickly. Thankful that the treatment she needs is available near her family and she and the baby will be cared for during this time. Praying protection & healing for Anna Marie. Prayers for Christopher and the entire family. God is good.

  12. Anna, I will be praying for you. So grateful you will be with your beloved family. Your singular attention of focused concentration for healing while knowing your family is caring for your little babe locally and your beloved is back home caring for your other babes is such a perfect plan.
So grateful you are using the gift of modern medicine to help heal you. So grateful you are strong, prayed up, supported and ready for battle.
You don’t fight alone. God goes before you, beside you, and behind you. Do not fear. The battle is the Lord’s. Praying.

  13. Praying for the dear family and wish them well… God bless y’all … and always trust Him who dwells ABOVE!
    A sister in Christ

  17. Praying for you all. Your testimony is like sunshine in this world – a bright light that warms the heart and encourages so many. May the Lord bless you all richly.

  18. You all are in my thoughts and prayers! Is there a place we can mail her cards and blessings? We know and live by Romans 8:28 and believe in the power of healing and restoration as He sees fit. We serve an awesome God who reigns most high in every situation we believers go through. Good thoughts and well wishes your way, Anna Marie! You got this!!

  19. I will keep you in by prayers! Trust Him. Prov.3:5,6

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”-Isa.43:2

  20. Dear Anna Marie, We continue to pray for you and your family. May the Lord heal you and hold you close to Him during your treatment. We pray you and your family will have a happy reunion when you return. Our family used to live in WA. I highly recommend a trip to Meerkirk Gardens on Whidbey Island if you are well and able. It is a marvelous display of God’s handiwork.

  21. Prayers for the sweet mom, and for the entire family for supporting her through this battle!

  22. Thank You Lord for working all this out!

I love the way you are all coming around Anna Marie to help with the children so she can get treatment. She probably feels so very thankful to know she doesn’t have to worry about them!

And how nice she gets to have her baby with her. Babies are such a comfort in hard times. I will be praying for you all and appreciate your openness on the blog. It’s a huge encouragement to me!
