When Simon Peter was 8 days old, we took newborn photos. Christopher set up studio lighting in his living room, and we went to work. I’d recently purchased some new props and was excited to try them out. We started with a quiet environment as the other five children were at Grandpa and Grandma’s.
We did our standard pose first, wrapping him, and then instead of a basket, we used the new crate. I loved how it turned out.
Simon Peter was such an easy baby to work with, sleeping most of the time. When we added the dynamics of an all-children photo, wow, that was a fun one to do. Then, capturing an entire family photo with some energetic (and tired!) littles–it was such a blast. Thankful for this amazing, happy family!

Oh my, he is such a beautiful baby! All of the photos are wonderful. Anna Marie has been and will continue to be in my prayers, especially for the surgery on Tuesday. She seems like such a calm, gentle, peaceful person and my heart goes out to her for what she is going through at this time. You are all such a blessing to each other and I know it must give her and Christopher great peace to know the children are safe in your care while they have to be at the hospital. Your entire family is in my prayers.
Such a beautiful family! I absolutely love the crate prop and how the baby is swaddled looks so adorable! You done very well gathering the children for a photo!
I would like to mention that I have been bringing the families request for Anna Marie to the Lord.
As I pray for her I am always reminded of the verse Psalm 91:11 as well as the lyrics of the hymn God Will Take Care of You.
I pray that The Lord will bring healing and peace for her & the family through these uncertain times.

WOW, so amazing to witness new life in such incredible photos. Love the sooo sleepy shot. Very creative. You can almost hear the little guy thinking ” enough, I’m tired we done here. Nighty night “.
What you don’t see on the sleepy shot is Christopher was helping to hold him in position. That one is tricky to get and almost impossible for one person to do!
