Sarah’s Birthday Recap

Happy Monday everyone! This last month has been a blur of many things combined, and we’re in much prayer as we walk with Anna Marie and Christopher on this journey. In the midst of things, “normal” life goes on. My birthday was one such event. We had Christopher and Anna Marie’s kiddos since they were in the hospital. The family made the day so special.

I’m grateful for the Lord Jesus Who holds our lives in His Hands. The way He writes our life story is beautiful.

Love,
Sarah

Making one of my favorite meals, pizza, with Danny. The sauce thing was going outside the bounds.
Cheesecake is my go-to birthday dessert! I made a chocolate chip cookie dough cheesecake.
Making coffeecake for the birthday breakfast
Happy times with lots of family around for a birthday lunch
The kids really like the Matchbox cars and can have quite a lot of noise and laughter going on in this area of our home.

“Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also
in him; and he shall bring it to pass” (Psalm 37:5)

  1. Looks you had like a wonderful birthday! The cheese cake looks so good! Thank you for sharing & Happy Birthday!

  2. Happy belated birthday Sarah! It looks like a great day and that we have a lot of the same food loves! 🙂
Can you share that cheesecake recipe?

  3. Wow I agree, that cheesecake looked scrumptious!

I wonder if you ever get the children mixed up when you have the big groups! I even get my own three boys mixed up in our own home if I don’t look directly at them I can think they are someone else walking past!

It is great medicine for Christopher and Anna Marie’s children to have these cheerful and faithful activities continuing as we keep looking to the Lord for all He will bring to them over the next while.

Thanks for sharing this lovely day with us, Sarah. Happy Birthday.

The last two verses of Psalm 106:

“Save us, O Lord our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks to Your holy name and triumph in Your praise. Blessed be the Lord God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, “Amen”. Praise ye the Lord.”

    1. Sarah,

Actually, yes, it’s so easy to call the nieces and nephews a wrong name. I mix them up often! Routine is very helpful for children and especially in an unsettling time. Blessings!

  4. So glad you had such a special day and family to share it with!!! It looks like it was ABSOLUTELY delicious! 😀 <3 Wish I was there for some cheesecake 😉

  5. Pizza, cheesecake, and coffee cake? Mmm! You’re making me hungry, girl! Looks like you had a fun birthday.

    1. Yes, some pretty great food. Plus we had Mexican on my birthday when the family came over. My celebrations extended much longer than normal due to the unusual circumstances and what we had going.

  6. Sounds wonderful! I’m with you on my choice of birthday dessert as a cheesecake. I make plain and put out toppings for everyone to make their own. My favorites are turtle toppings & strawberries. I’ll have to try cookie dough sometime. It sounds good.
It looked like a very nice, albeit very busy, birthday time.
