A First For These Two Girls

Abby and Bethany have helped me since they were small girls making tortillas before our family Sunday lunch. It’s not every week, of course, but pretty often.

Yesterday, was a big day. They took on most of the responsibility and rolled and cooked the tortillas by themselves because I needed to take Christopher’s family photos.

Congratulations, girls! To be able to hand off that big job (do you know how many tortillas it takes to feed this growing crew?!) to young ladies at 11 and 9 is really awesome. Great work, Abby and Betsy. I love you.

Love,
Sarah

  1. What great testimony!
Some of my most-treasured memories as a child are the ones of me helping in the kitchen.

The sense of accomplishment, responsibility, and faith in your abilities is something you really cannot get anywhere else!

    Well done girls!

    Many blessings,

    Alice

  2. Wonderful work!!! Look at those happy hearts too!! You are both growing into fine young ladies. Good work, Sarah, too. It takes time and patience to teach young ones. You and your family are reaping the rewards of your sacrifice of love!!!

    God Bless!!!

    1. It is a joy to watch the girls growing and maturing as young ladies. It’s true. When the girls were younger, tortilla making took longer with their help, but now the harvest of that sacrifice.
