Kansas City Homeschool Conference And Time With the Kiddos

Last weekend, Nathan and Melanie attended the Midwest Parent Home Educators’ homeschool conference. It was the perfect refresh for Melanie as she prepares for the next school year and winds down this one. We appreciate the local and state homeschool groups who put on conferences to encourage other homeschoolers. Putting on a conference is a big investment of resources and time.

Meanwhile, Mary and Anna held down the fort with the five kids. What special memories they made! From lots of great outdoor time (weather = stunning!) to surprises for Mom and Dad (like a sparkling clean house)—everyone loved it! We’re so blessed to have family nearby.

that God has equipped us to be. Michelle Duggar

It’s been several years since the Lord laid a burden on my heart to write a book. Last summer, Steve gave a gentle nudge, asking me to pray about the topic. The Lord confirmed that this was indeed the time! Not only has the Lord blessed me with personal experience as Steve’s wife for 44 years but also as a Titus2 mentor.

From prayer to publishing, My Delight is the result.

We believe My Delight has the potential to change marriages around the world. If you purchase three or more copies (that’s just one copy for yourself and gifting two friends!), you’ll save 10%, and enjoy free economy shipping in the United States. What could be more worthwhile than encouraging a friend to have a delightful marriage?

Thank you for your enthusiasm!

Trusting in Jesus,

“That they may teach the young women to be
sober, to love their husbands, to love their children.”

The Power of a Chore System

I just finished speaking with a sweet mom who placed a telephone order. She was so excited to begin implementing a chore system. She grew up as an only child, with her mom doing all the housework. Her mom felt she was doing her daughter a service by not requiring her to help around the home when in actuality she wasn’t. Our customer shared that now she sees the importance of training children to do chores–it helps to prepare them for life! While it may seem easier at the time to just do it yourself, in the long run, it’s detrimental to the child. They don’t learn important aspects of adulthood such as self-discipline, diligence, responsibility, thoroughness, basic home maintenance, and time management. This mom is energized and excited to begin fresh!

Mom wrote an excellent series called Holly Homemaker, which is a 5 part series. I encourage you to read it as you have time if you haven’t already.

Managers of Their Chores is about to hit its ninth printing and continues to equip moms. The book and included ChorePack kit could revolutionize your family’s chore system. It’s $25, and you’ll receive free shipping (in the United States) since our free shipping bracket is at $25* (some exceptions).

Lending a Hand and Melanie’s Baby Update!

Benji, Melanie, and Baby

Melanie and Baby are in the home stretch before delivery! We’re so grateful Melanie’s made it to 33 weeks, and Baby is staying put. Sadly, though, a week ago, Melanie developed a severe middle ear infection. It has been very painful and made it hard to function. The doctor said the ear infection was likely pregnancy exacerbated, and that on a scale of 1 to 10, hers rated a 9. Yikes! She’s doing much better but still has lingering discomfort.

Mary helped a lot, and Melanie’s schedule allowed Mary to have a plan and things to run smoothly.

We’re grateful to be close to family! Thank you for your prayers for Melanie and Baby! We’re excited about another blessing.
