Kansas City Homeschool Conference And Time With the Kiddos

Last weekend, Nathan and Melanie attended the Midwest Parent Home Educators’ homeschool conference. It was the perfect refresh for Melanie as she prepares for the next school year and winds down this one. We appreciate the local and state homeschool groups who put on conferences to encourage other homeschoolers. Putting on a conference is a big investment of resources and time.

Meanwhile, Mary and Anna held down the fort with the five kids. What special memories they made! From lots of great outdoor time (weather = stunning!) to surprises for Mom and Dad (like a sparkling clean house)โ€”everyone loved it! We’re so blessed to have family nearby.

Love,
Sarah

Cooking tortillas (some of the sisters-in-law like the Costco tortillas as they make great, “fresh” tortillas with minimal time)

What is it about boys and mud?

  2. It looks like Ellie is balancing the ball on her head! Thanks for sharing this post. Your family is so encouraging to me.

    1. It is funny how that picture looks like it. Jesse took a picture of Benji and Ellie that night that is beyond adorable. I have to find the perfect time to share it. Totally deserves its own post!

  3. Fun! Is the creek on your property? And lol the thing about boys and mud is a mess. Haha. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. What sweet pictures! And what a wonderful act of service to care for the children so that Melanie and Nathan could attend the conference! The children are really growing up; Abby looks almost as tall as her aunts! Looks like everyone had a great time together.

    1. Hi Roseanna,
Thanks for your comment! The girls love to watch the kids, and it’s great time with the nieces and nephews. Yes! Abby is almost as tall as the aunts. In fact, she has to be almost my height, because I’m shorter than Anna and Mary. I’ll have to check soon! ๐Ÿ™‚

  5. The ice cream sandwich time looks like so much fun!! ๐Ÿ˜€ Love seeing Anna and Maryโ€™s creativity when it comes to kid-sitting! <3
