Happy 17th Anniversary, Nathan and Melanie!

The Nathan Maxwell Family

Dear Nathan and Melanie,

Happy Anniversary! 17 years ago, your wedding day was gorgeous! Young and in love, you had no idea what the future years held.

God, “who is rich in mercy” (Ephesians 2:4), gave you the grace for every step of the way.

As you grieved the loss of your first-born daughter, you continued to trust “him faithful who had promised” (Hebrews 11:11).

“But joy cometh in the morning” (Psalm 30:5) filled your hearts when Abigail, your second-born daughter, arrived.

You trusted the Lord with your family size, knowing “the fruit of the womb is his reward” (Psalm 127:3).

Through the roller-coaster of high-risk pregnancies, you took to heart to “be strong and courageous” (2 Chronicles 32:7).

Your family is a beautiful testimony to the Lord Jesus as you serve Him with generous hearts! You clearly portray: “He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor” (Proverbs 22:9).

With much love,
Sarah for the rest

Nathan and Melanie Maxwell

  7. Oh, my goodness! I haven’t been following your blog for that long (I was still in high school 17 years ago), but how time flies! Wishing them every happiness this year and beyond. It always warms me heart to see happy, loving couples grow, change, and stick together through the years 🙂

  9. Wow! Hard to believe it’s been 17 years! I so remember finding out they were courting and then engaged and then reading about how he proposed to her! All us old T2 Mom’s Board Moms were so giddy with excitement, right along with your family! Such a beautiful story they have! And now 17 years have flown by and they have lived so much life during those years…highs highs and and low lows! Grateful for their lives and how they have continued to press into Jesus and continually surrendering to His plans and purposes! Proud of you Nathan and Melanie!! Happy anniversary!! Cheering you on for another 17…and beyond!??

    1. Yes, so hard to believe 17 years ago. And now with Axton’s birth on Nathan and Melanie’s anniversary, we were talking about the changes that have occurred in John’s life since he was that little 11-year-old groomsman in Nathan’s wedding.

  10. Congratulations and Happy Anniversary! May your lights continue to shine as a godly couple and family! May you experience God’s amazing grace as you begin another year together!
