If you’ve been following our blog for the past few months, you’ve read about Operation Christmas Child.
We wanted to share with you that this week through next Monday, the 19th, is the time frame you have to drop off your shoeboxes! Samaritan’s Purse has a list of drop off location points on their site.
Perhaps you’ve thought about packing shoeboxes to help a child in need but haven’t done it yet. It’s not too late! 🙂 This is a tangible way to share what God has blessed us with to those in need.
If you need more information, please visit Operation Christmas Child’s website. We’ll be sure to post more pictures of our shoebox packing parties! They are still in progress!
“But my God shall supply all your need according
to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:19
It’s nice to help other people
Does every box need a $9 shipping label to track the box or is it needed on ever box regardless.
It is not needed on every box. Only if you want tracking.
We had our family packing party last Sunday after Church. 100 boxes are on their way.
I am packing more at my house with the leftovers. We hope to have a total of 200!
That’s wonderful and absolutely amazing to have enough leftovers to pack another 100!
My husband and I did a box this year for each of our grandchildren, allowing them to help as much as they could… Tuesday we head to Charlotte , NC to help with at the operation center. This will be our first time and we are so excited!
That’s a great idea to do a box with each grandchild, and then you are going to work at one of the centers. Those in our family who have done that have really like it.
Love occ! We packed 8 boxes one for each age group and gender and two for the oldest age groups.
That’s great, Alana. I am sure you all enjoyed the shopping, packing, and dropping the boxes off.
