A Bit Out Numbered

Over the past few days, we had the opportunity to watch Nathan and Melanie’s children so they could have a dinner out and then Christopher and Anna Marie’s. Without Anna and Mary, we are outnumbered, but we still have a blast and manage to get them all fed, cleaned up, play with them, and have Bible time! πŸ™‚

I look at these kiddos and feel so very blessed to have them in our lives. They dearly love their aunts + uncles + Grandpa + Grandma, and it’s a delight to have them around!

Tina does so well reading the Bible!

This Benji is such a cuddly “teddy bear”!Β Β

Now, onto our evening with Christopher and Anna Marie’s kiddos.

I got a kick out of where Ellie is. She’s very smart and knows where to be for the best positioning of crumbs.

Jesse really had quite a car race going with the girls, who loved it.Β They can really sail on the basement floor.

Joshua and Grandpa did their own thing.

Christopher and Anna Marie celebrated their 8-year engagement anniversary. What a cute family they have! Do you notice a lot of the kids looking down?

It’s because Arnold was there.

“But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me:
for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”

Matthew 19:14

  2. Dear Sarah (and the rest of the Maxwell Clan!),

I very much enjoy your posts, seeing the life of your families! Thank you for encouraging me in my calling as a wife and mother! I am grateful for God’s richest blessings: Godly heritage; a faithful, Godly husband; our four children, to train in holiness; and His Word to guide, teach, exhort, and encourage us!

May Proverbs 11:25 be true for you: “Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.” (ESV)

    In Christ’s love,

  3. Arnold! Such a scamp! I noticed him sitting in a toy bin in another picture πŸ™‚ He’s so funny!
Little people are such a joy to have around! Loved the pics!

    1. Well, the glasses are a cute story. Tina got them from the Dollar Store for his birthday! πŸ™‚ He doesn’t need glasses, but Tina wanted to get them for him.

  4. I love the affection that all these children show! Hugging/embracing each other, oh so tender and precious in the sight of our Lord! And that you are all giving and serving of your time to bless your siblings. Thank you for sharing Sarah, my girls and I pray for you!
What is the name of the game that Jesse is playing with his niece? (he’s holding a blue one and she is holding a red one).

  5. So enjoyed seeing everyone! I also loved seeing Arnold in the toy box and sitting with the family. He feels like he belongs. Ellie as usual so cute too.

    1. He LOVES to be where there is action. So unless he’s napping or is following Mom around, he’ll love to join you. The guys’ workouts in the morning are a fave activity of his!

  6. Such a beautiful family! Over the years of reading your blog I can see that each and every one of you, including Ellie & Arnold, are a tremendous blessing to all the rest. I so enjoy seeing all of the everyday life photos of everyone spending quality family time together.

    1. Thanks for being such a faithful reader! πŸ™‚ We do have such great times together, and yes, Ellie and Arnold add a great little sparkle!

  7. As someone who sews my own clothes, I always enjoy seeing what Anna Marie is wearing in your posts – I love her fabric choices and I’m pretty sure she sews all her own jumpers, yes?

  8. Such precious photos!
And it’s cute to see Ellie and Arnold being close by “the action”! πŸ˜‰ Thanks for sharing—these gave me a smile.
    Love, Mrs. Patti
