The Gift of Sister Time

This fall, Anna and Mary were gifted with a night away at a Bed & Breakfast for all three of the sisters as a “thank you” for investing in some sweet little ones. We hoped to make the night work this fall, but since that didn’t, we scheduled it for mid-December.

Wow, what a special treat this time away was! Life has been packed full with Sunflower’s Christmas Miracle release, shipping books out (so excited as y’all are receiving your orders! loving those pictures!), Christmas-related things, and work in general. Those hours netted us such a sweet sisters-night-out. Time to just talk. To enjoy Christmas. To relax. To recharge and be ready for these next two weeks. Because, let’s be really honest. The rest of the month is going to be just as packed. Can’t wait to share it with you all!

15 days until John and Chelsy’s wedding!

Love,
Sarah

  1. How fun! We got our parents a night at a bed and breakfast a couple years ago for their anniversary. It was the first time they had left us overnight;) Very special memories πŸ™‚

  2. Love the snow!
    Just finished Christmas miracle!
    Did a family read around.
The best book yet say’s Grace!
    Love to all

  3. That looks like such fun and a great reward/treat! I am curious – what board games did you play? And how far did you run?

    1. We were tired enough we didn’t feel like games the night before, so we read instead! πŸ™‚ The next morning we played Settlers of Catan, a personal fave of mine! We ran 5k.

  4. sister time is always fun… this year i invite my sister & mom to high tea… my mom needed a break so i surprised my mom & sister… we had a blast… we walk, take pics and went for hightea event… no sister in law. is nice to take a break and just hangout with sister(s) & mom…

  5. I much rather stay in a bed and breakfast than a hotel. They are warm and cozy especially in the winter with a roaring fire. Who can go wrong with a home-cooked breakfast.

  6. That looks like fun. And now it’s only 13 days til John and Chelsey’s wedding. I bet their really getting excited.

  7. I loved reading this post! Also, I’ve been meaning to leave a comment to ask where you and your sisters get all your cute skirts. Or do you make most of them? I’ve been looking for some and it’s very hard to find basic, everyday skirts. (:

    1. I’ve not sewed for quite awhile! We find our skirts a variety of places. I love Christopher and Banks jean skirts. My fave one is multiple seasons old, and I’ve found a similar one on eBay. I like to shop eBay for skirts. It just varies where we find them! We’ve used Overstock.com too! Sometimes Kohls will have good ones.
