Y’all! We’re down to twenty-something days until the wedding! The flooring will go in today and tomorrow, and wow, it’s great to see John’s house taking shape.
In early October, John called for a sheet-rocking party, and the guys made time in their schedules to help.ย I love how my brothers include their children when possible in a project.
Since the sheet-rocking, there was a lot of work done on the walls with painting (you saw some of that in the random life posts recently) and now they’ve tiled the kitchen and dining floor.
Love,
Sarah

The house is coming along really nicely . I got new book and my kids love it done read so now we rereading whole series .
I’m so glad!
John’s house is really taking shape! Good job y’ll ๐
It is! So exciting!
Is the A for Abby, Andrew, or Anna? ๐
I think Nathan did that if I remember!
What an awesome job on the house project and great photos too, Sarah. How satisfying an achievement for all of you! It looks like it’s coming together really nicely with only a short time to go until the wedding. These moments with family are special times.
Blessings,
Thanks!
Wow! The house is coming along very nicely. Can’t wait to see the end results! Will it be done in time for the wedding?
It will be very livable. They’ll finish remodeling after they’re married, but with a kitchen, flooring, heater, etc, they’ll be set for awhile!
Thank you for all of the house/work posts. We love to see the updates as we often work on our own house as the need arises, but mainly because it encourages my own sons in their hard work! Thanks for the example.
Thanks! Glad you’ve enjoyed it!
Itโs great how you all pull together to help each other out. I think itโs fantastic to include the kids, what a great example for them to see firsthand and even help out!
Thanks!
Nice work and great family!
I wondered how you keep the house warm during the winter?
I didn`t saw isolations between the walls. We have a different way for building houses over here, just brick houses, so I wondered.
Blessings,
Susi
There is insulation in the walls!
Wow! You guys are doing a beautiful job. What is the name of the gray color used? It looks nice.
I don’t know the exact name of the gray, but I’ll try to find out.
It’s amazing y’all are remodeling the house all on your own. It’s also really sweet you do it all together. I guess you’re trying to hurry with the wedding being so close. By the way, I love the snowflakes on the blog. They’re so cool (literally ๐ ). We got 5 inches of snow two days ago. We rarely ever get snow in southern LA. It was so cool. We built snowmen. It’s mostly melted now. ๐
Yes, John is in hurry to get things done! ๐ Wow! Y’all get snow! So neat! Enjoy it for me!
We may be getting more snow later after Christmas!
That’s really great!
Wow! It’s coming along really well! Congratulations to John and Chelsey. I can’t wait to see how the house turns out!
I love this! So fun to see the house take shape! Thanks for sharing with us. But, I also love it because I so love to see the girls right in there with the guys! They have skirts on and power tools in their hands! ha! I love to show my little girls that, especially with their Daddy being in construction! They can be feminine and useful and learn incredible skills like Daddy, too! Way to go girls! What a great example you all are in many ways!
Thank you! Yes, the girls love to help!
I really love that gray wall color. Do you remember what the paintโs name was?
I’m sorry; I don’t know.
