These last few days have been full as we juggled work and preparing for the trip. We’re so happy to be motoring down the road and headed for the Colorado mountains!

We left Ellie with Christopher and family because of space this year. If you haven’t noticed from this picture, we have downsized to a mini-van, and Nathan has upgraded to our 12-passenger!Packing up last night!
Here I am watching the packing out process. We brought less things this year due to our limited space, but those who know me well, know that I’m not a minimalist when I pack. But I tried for this trip, with the superb help of my sisters.
Stopping for gas this morning.
Watch for awesome mountain-time posts over the upcoming days!
Love,
Sarah
“Thy righteousness is like the great mountains;
thy judgments are a great deep:
O Lord, thou preservest man and beast.”
Psalm 36:6
Yeah Maxwells! Another adventure in God’s beautiful land. Please share on your food preparations for your trip. Do you take the food you prepared frozen, casseroles, for example?
We had limited space this time, so we didn’t bring as much food as normal and will buy more at the local store. But the girls and Mom made enchiladas, maidrites, lasagna, taco, meat for stew, and meat for stir fry.
Have fun!
Now that I’ve been there I will finally be able to look at your pics and actually know your surroundings. I didn’t hike to the top of the 14’ers but it did see them from 7. That is such an awesome place. And it’s cool!!!
Have a great time Maxwell’s and enjoy much needed rest.
Blessings,
Johnns
Thanks! Yes, I loved hearing about your trip! Yay! 🙂
Have fun!! =)
Thanks!
I love Mary’s apron! Did she make it?
I’m no minimalist packer either. When we go on vacation, I usually want to bring every clothing article, movie, and book I own. 😉
We’re going to the Smokeys in fall. There’s nothing like being surrounded by God’s beautiful creation.
So fun you are going to the Smokeys! That’ll be beautiful! No, Mary’s apron was purchased. Well, I’m trying to learn to pack better. 🙂
