It’s now become a yearly tradition to have a mulch work party at GiGi’s. For some reason, mulch has to be replenished. It’s a little bit of a mystery to me how the mulch vanishes, but it does.
Whomever had time and was available was invited to help, so here are the workers.
Adorable “crew” of little kids!
Nathan: love the colors of spring in this one!
Andrew held the gate open for Anna, so she was thanking him.
Christopher organized everything and went and got the mulch.
End result: pizza for the workers!
“… but as for the pure, his work is right.”
Proverbs 21:8
The lunch choice looks fantastic! 😉 Way to go on the hard work.
This are the best days, aren’t they? I have been putting off doing some planting, but my daughter and I made tremendous progress in cleaning up and spring planting today. It is so much better working with someone, and I am sure your grandmother appreciated the help and the company.
Mulch, like other plant products, decomposes. It enriches the soil, and serves as a natural fertilizer in addition to being an insulation and protective layer.
Gardeining is fun!

Thanks :).
This is off-topic, but can you please tell me where Teri found that brown skirt? That’s the type I’m looking for, but they’re hard to find anymore.

That skirt is from Christopher and Banks, but it was purchased at least 4 or 5 years ago.
What has anna been doing to her hair? its pretty

She found she has naturally curly hair, so she’s been styling it that way. So fun!
Fun
This is so sweet!! What a blessing for GiGi! (That’s the name my mom chose to be called too!) Love seeing everyone working together and enjoying it. This kind of family time not only blesses others but builds special memories too.
Looks like you all working hard!
