Prayer and Fasting Day – Tuesday, January 24th

We are excited to have a prayer and fasting day set aside for Tuesday, January 24th. We would love to have you join us: see the sign ups below for ladies and men. We will be crying out to the Lord for the specific requests you give to us.

In the past, we ladies
fasted for 36 hours. This time we are going to try ending the fast in the evening so that we are fasting through breakfast and lunch but not dinner. I have found that to work well for me personally, and I think it might for you as well. Here’s the sign up for the ladies.

When we fast, we fast from food and caloric drinks unless you are pregnant, nursing, or have a health problem that prevents you from fasting. Then you can figure out other fasting options that would work for you.

Steve and the men are planning a 36 hour fast. That means eating dinner on the 23rd and not eating again until breakfast on the 25th. The men’s sign up is here.

“That they may see, and know, and consider,
and understand together, that the hand of the
Lord hath done this, and the Holy One of
Israel hath created it.” Isaiah 41:20

  1. I had awesome experience going through a 7-day dry Prayer & fasting in September 1993,in December 1996 and in mid-2010. Our church is currently undergoing a 21-day prayer & fasting which started on Monday,January 9,2017.We are used to dry fasting here (periods spanning 3-8 days or more) or the conventional 6.00pm closing time – both without food of any kind and water. There’s no short cut to power for the believer outside prayer & family.Jesus paid the full price for it (power)but we can only take delivery of power at the Prayer/fasting altar. No shortcuts. There are certain challenges in our lives that would never give way until we embark on a long prayer and fasting exercise (Matt. 17: 21). Prayers alone is not enough.I thank God for Titus 2 family and Pray that God would continue to strengthen you to keep doing his will to the point of rewards.God bless you: David – Nigeria
