Happy 40th Birthday to My Big Brother

Today is a very special day. It’s Nathan’s 40th birthday!

Nathan is the most amazing, awesome brother. Okay, so yes, I have four others besides him, and I’m not picking favorites here, because they all have great qualities, but I think there’s something special about the oldest brother. The oldest Maxwell guy created many incredible, happy memories with his siblings: giving me driving practice, all casually leaned back in his seat, building model airplanes with Joseph in the basement, putting the little girls (Anna and Mary) to bed on Sunday nights, taking Mary to build-a-bear, etc.

It’s so awesome to see him invest in his own family. Nathan’s an incredible dad and husband: from bringing home pizza for dinner “just because,” to taking one of his girls to work, to making pancakes on Saturday mornings, to raising chickens with his little girl, to craft projects on Sunday afternoons, to taking Melanie for a special get-away as they prepare for a school year–and the list could go on.

  2. Wow. That’s quite a milestone. Happy birthday, Nathan. May the Lord continue to bless you and your family.

  3. 40 years old and a legacy in the making! What a blessing to see an older brother invest in his siblings. What wonderful training as you are now investing in your own children. That investment expands beyond the boundaries of your home and has impacted homes such as mine. Thank you for the example. I pray many more years are your blessing for a life lived well!

  4. Happy late birthday, Nathan!

How is Melanie doing? Hope all is well with her.
