Dinner and Handel’s Messiah

Friday night, our immediate family plus Joseph and Elissa had a delightful evening out. We went to dinner first, which was a sweet time of fellowship and great food. Christmas is a special time of year, and these outings make it even sweeter.

George Frideric Handel’s Messiah is amazing! We sat in awe as we listened to Scripture woven so masterfully into beautiful pieces of music. The four lead singers did an amazing job of expression and emotion as they sang. The Hallelujah chorus was my favorite part. Our King is so worthy to be praised! I honestly can’t imagine how much work those in the choir put into the music: thank you all!

Merry Christmas!

“All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned every one to his own way;
and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.”
Isaiah 53:6

Revelation 19:6

  1. You all look lovely! I think we are going to try to attend Handel’s Messiah here too. It sounds worthy of hearing!

  2. I saw you all this year, but I wasn’t able make my to you to introduce myself. Since I have been singing with the Independence Messiah Choir, and our partnership with the symphony has come to an end, I don’t know if I’ll be singing next year, but Lord willing, it’s a possibility. Perhaps I can meet you all in person then.
    Merry Christmas,
    Your alto reader

    We would have enjoyed getting to meet you. It would have been an added bonus to our spectacular evening.
