It’s been awhile since I’ve given an update on Ellie. She’s as cute as ever and totally growing up. She’ll be a year soon. I have a hard time believing she’s been mine since the end of January. I’m grateful for such a sweet buddy!
Ellie loves people in general, and she enjoys little kids. Calia toddles around jabbering and patting Ellie, who watches her with interest. They’re really cute together. Abby and Betsy can handle Ellie well and enjoy running with her to get some of her energy expended (she still has a lot!). Ruthie loves to feed Ellie treats.
I am still getting over the dog attack and have to take my thoughts captive because loose dogs invariably cause my heart to quicken. It’s a good challenge as I learn to reject the fears and choose to trust the Lord.
Love,
Sarah

“In thee, O Lord, do I put my trust;
let me never be ashamed:
deliver me in thy righteousness.”
Psalm 31:1
Ellie seems to be maturing into a wonderful companion. Will she get much bigger? She has such a pretty coat color and sweet face!

She will fill out some but I don’t think she’s going to grow length wise, so she’ll be more on par with what her mama was :).
Hi Sarah! I just came across your blog. You seem so content! I’m struggling right now with being content in my life. And finding that contentment in the Lord. I know he is the only one who will be able to make me feel complete. I’m 28 and single. I thought by now I’d be married with children,but that hasn’t happened. I was wondering if their were some books you could recommend on the subject. Thanks, Nikki

Bless your heart, Nikki! Being single is a special season, and the Lord has had many lessons for me in that. I’ll see if I can think of any books to recommend and then e-mail you! Bless you!
Ellie is so cute. You have a beautiful dog. I enjoy your pictures of her with the littles. Precious.
Blessings, Mari

Awww, thanks!
Thanks for the update! Ellie is a gorgeous dog and I’m glad she has you for her “person”! 🙂
Awww…Ellie is precious! 🙂 Thanks for the update and cute photos.
I’m so sorry about what you’re still going through after the dog attack, and I certainly understand. (When I was 5 I was attacked by a German Shepherd who came into our yard – – to this day if I’m around that kind of dog I still feel a bit tense). I will continue praying for you.
Love, Mrs. Patti

Awww, sweet pictures! Ellie seems to be so good with children! Praying for the Lord to keep your heart and mind- I certainly understand how fear can try to take hold.
