Hiking Above the Treeline

There’s something so awesome about the Continental Divide. The scenery is gorgeous, the trail great, and it’s pretty secluded. To add the icing to the cake, John was able to join us.

The temperatures were chilly, but the scenery gorgeous. We love to hike and talk, sometimes staying in one big group, sometimes separating into two or three smaller ones.

We hiked up to a place we had gone to several years before, but we didn’t stay long due to it being pretty cold and rain clouds were building.

Ellie did excellent on the six-mile hike, and it’s obvious she enjoys the outdoors. The hands-free leash I purchased before we came has been great. You don’t have to hassle with holding a leash in your hands. Here’s the link to it on Amazon (Titus2’s affiliate link).

Love,
Sarah

Mary, Jesse, and Anna pointing out the peaks they climbed last year: Harvard and Columbia. I honestly am not sure how they can keep track of where all the peaks are. Jesse is especially good.

This is just too great. We got back into cell signal, and people got busy on their phones.

No, we never have. There are lots of good resources on how to avoid bear encounters.
