Snugars and GraciousMay

We’d like to share with you about two companies founded by homeschooled young ladies.

Young ladies have a special challenge in that most desire to be married, but life can’t be “on hold” until then. Since we don’t know when the right guy will show up, we believe it is crucial to stay busy in the meantime. Therefore, we love to see industry and creativity in young ladies.

Snugars.com and GraciousMay.com sparkle with all of that. Snugars (think sugar with an “n”) specializes in girls’ headbands, hats, and legwarmers, along with hats for little boys. GraciousMay offers a complete line of shoes for children. We’re not talking about ordinary shoes: each pair is one of a kind. I’ve always loved cute headbands on little girls, and Snugars’ headbands totally fit my style. The headbands and shoes come in a wide variety of sizes, so they’re not just for babies.

Listen to Abby, Bethany, and Tina share with you about the products.

Now, for pictures in action.

That light pink headband Calia is wearing is one of my favorites.

This was Lydia at her newborn photo session. The headband is definitely Anna Marie’s style, with the sweet little rose on it.

You have got to love Drew’s hat. Adds such character!

Those shoes are so sweet.

These denim Mary Janes with their lace and flowers are beyond cute.

Their hats not only keep little heads warm but are so cute! I really like this particular one.

After we did the video, the girls and I went outside to get some close up pictures of their headbands.

Of course, Ellie came too.

I encourage you to support small businesses such as Snugars and GraciousMay. Their products make delightful baby gifts!

her candle goeth not out by night.
She layeth her hands to the spindle,
and her hands hold the distaff.”

Never Miss Another Titus2 Blog Post

We’re blessed by your faithful readership, and we’re trying to make it as convenient as possible to keep up with the latest events here at the Maxwells. Some of you stop in every day, some several times a week, others weekly, and some only every few weeks. Even with that, you may not catch every post.

All the “follow our blog” options are located on the right side bar. These are separate from the Mom’s Corner and Seriously email lists (blue buttons). If you haven’t signed up for the Mom’s Corner or Seriously Dads, I really encourage you to join the thousands who are reading them!

Follow the Titus2 Blog Options–Pick One

  • You can sign up to receive a new blog post via e-mail whenever one is published. Just enter your e-mail address on the right side bar where it says “Receive Titus2 Blog Posts via E-mail.” That’s a double-opt in, so be sure to check your e-mail, and click the link to activate your subscription. It’s super handy to get the entire post sent to your e-mail.
  • You can add the blog to your RSS reader.
  • You can add the blog to your Feedly reader. There are already many of you out there doing that. Feedly is nice because you can subscribe to blogs, and even categorize them, and then when there’s a new post, it’ll show up there.

“But take diligent heed to do the commandment and the law,
which Moses the servant of the Lord charged you, to love
the Lord your God, and to walk in all his ways, and to keep
his commandments, and to cleave unto him, and to serve
him with all your heart and with all your soul.”

A Trip to the Park

Do you remember Grandpa and Grandma’s night with the grandkids? I couldn’t resist sharing some pictures from Friday night’s special time with Nathan and Melanie’s kiddos. We haven’t done Grandpa and Grandma’s night for a good while, so it was great to get back into it. I tagged along with them to the park to take pictures, and yes, I ended up playing with the kids too.

Love,
Sarah

What’s Your Guess?

Ellie is now 6 months old and 50 pounds. Her dad weighed 100, and her mom a little less than 70. So, I’m looking for children to guess how much Ellie is going to weigh when she’s full grown? I’d love to hear!

(And yes, in that above picture, Ellie grabbed my highlighter.)

An Update on Ruthanne

Thank you for your prayers for Ruthie. The ER recommended the stitches be removed in 6 days, but after they were out they weren’t sure it was healing properly and suggested an appointment with a children’s doctor/plastic surgeon/hand specialist. Last Thursday morning, Christopher and Anna Marie took Ruthie to see the specialist, and he said the finger looked great (incidentally he did mention that he recommends 6-10 days for stitches)! It’s a common injury and should heal up nicely over the next week. Praise the Lord for healing!

Love,
Sarah
