We had guests recently which allowed for a perfect reason to go to the zoo. Mom invited all the relatives and most were able to make it. Some weren’t mainly due to work.
The day turned out unseasonably cool and cloudy but perfect as it wasn’t hot. Young and old enjoyed observing God’s creatures!
Even GiGi was able to go! Watching the sea lion show. Love that smile, Tina! Mary and Abby

“O LORD, how manifold are thy works! in wisdom hast thou made them all: the earth is full of thy riches.” Psalm 104:24
We’re so grateful for a godly mom! You know her as Teri Maxwell, and her eight children and daughter-in-laws know her as Mom. She’s been a faithful mom for 39+ years, wife to Dad for over 40 years, and Titus2 mentor to many for 20+ years. Mom is totally real, and she pours her life into others.
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom! We love you!
If you have a minute, you really should read my dad’s surprise guest article for the May Corner. It will encourage your heart to read what a journey being a mom has taken Mom on!
We also want to let those of you know who have lost little ones this past year that we grieve with you and that those losses are very real and hurt. You are no less a mother: your baby is waiting for you in Heaven!
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!
(And yes, Happy Mother’s Day to all the sister-in-laws too: Melanie, Anna Marie, and Elissa!)
“… but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.” Proverbs 31:30
A special thank you to each one who voted for Cruz and encouraged friends to do the same. I’ll be honest. Hearing the news of Cruz ending his campaign was highly disappointing.
In all of this, we’re reminded that the Lord is in control. “A man’s heart deviseth his way: but the Lord directeth his steps” (Proverbs 16:9). So yes, while it’s true, we would have loved to have a President Cruz, that’s obviously not going to happen.
Jeremiah 29:11 is an incredible verse reminding us of God’s plans. “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”
May we join together in prayer for our nation to turn back to God! “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
Love, Sarah

“Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lord’s sake.” Daniel 9:17
Tuesday, May 3rd, is your day to vote. Please don’t let anything keep you from going to the polls. This isn’t a choice of vanilla or chocolate: your children’s future is in the balance. Those of you who have friends there, please text or e-mail them and encourage them to get out and vote for the best choice for president, Ted Cruz.
We strongly support Senator Ted Cruz and what he stands for (remember: he’s for homeschooling!). We think his pick of Carly Fiorina for a running mate was a wise, strategic choice.
“For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil.” 1 Peter 3:12
