Grandma’s Secret Spot Remover
I think I found this little gem at our local Ace Hardware store many years ago. I remember waiting on Steve one day while he was in the hardware section and looking at all the interesting cleaning items in a part of the store that was more applicable to my life. Since I was always struggling to find a spot remover that really worked, when I saw the Grandma’s, I thought it was worth a try. It has more than proved its worth to us.
We use it at home on a weekly basis. Mary seems to have developed the best skills at stain removal and is often requested to work on a spot that has appeared on a prized garment. We are continually amazed at how often Grandma’s works and how seldom we now have stains that we can’t get out. Grandma’s Spot Remover is so valuable to us that it is part of our packing list when we travel!
It comes in a small bottle, but it doesn’t take much to do the job, and we purchase the bulk set from Amazon where we can get 6 – 2 oz bottles. (Amazon also sells a 16 oz. spray, but we haven’t used the spray, so we don’t know if it’s as effective. Based on reviews, though, it looks like it works the same.) In the past four years we have used only 5 bottles of Grandma’s, which ends up being quite economical when you consider how many items of clothing it has kept from being ruined.
As good as Grandma’s Spot Remover is, there is yet one “spot” that it can’t remove.
“Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless” (2 Peter 3:14).
Oh how thankful we are for the Lord Jesus and His cleansing blood!

I discovered Grandma’s Spot Remiver at JoAnn. I have used it on a multitude of stains and spots with great success. It even removed black ink I mean a whole pen’s worth of ink. The pen exploded in a pocket of a brand new pair of pants which had been worn one time.

I am so glad to see the information on this product. I had noticed it in our local fabric store, but didn’t buy it at that time, and now the store has closed. I considered looking for it at Ace Hardware, but decided to save some time (and money, considering I would’ve inevitably bought more unplanned items if I went to the hardware store, ha ha) and I just purchased the 6-pack through your link. Thanks for the information, as I am on my second unsuccessful attempt by using my “Guide to Natural Stain Removal” to get a stain out of my son’s favorite tie!
Thank you for sharing this. I often have difficult stains and have occasionally had to “down-grade” a favorite piece of clothing because I just couldn’t remove a stain.

Grandma’s Stain Remover is my favorite also! I discovered it about 6 months ago or so at our local Walmart and decided to give it a try. I was desperate for a truly effective stain remover for a change as none of the previous ones have really worked, especially on removing baby diaper mess stains that went through the diaper onto clothing. I was so thrilled when I used it first as it completely removed baby stains and most other stains and truly not much is needed to do the job. My second favorite part about it is that it does not have any strong smell as I am very sensitive to chemical smells and they instantly give me a headache. But this gem is just perfect! Recently our Walmart started to sell the spray bottle also so I purchased it to see if it’s just as effective because it is much larger of a container and would be very helpful since I use it so often having four little ones. To my joy again it works just as well as the gel! So thankful for this product and even more thankful for the cleansing blood of our Messiah Yeshua (Jesus Christ). Many blessings to you!
