We Celebrate Christ’s Resurrection!

We stand in awe and praise for our Lord  Jesus. This is a special day as we celebrate Jesus’ victory over death. As our family has been reading the account in Matthew, I was struck by how Jesus felt before He went to the cross. He had feelings just like we have. “And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt” (Matthew 26:39).

Yet, Jesus was obedient even unto death. “And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:8).

It’s an overwhelming thought that Jesus’ blood makes us white as snow. What a miracle. “Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool” (Isaiah 1:18).

He is risen!

Happy Resurrection Sunday!

  1. Happy Easter Sunday night to y’all Maxwell family??????

So enjoyed meeting you Sarah last weekend….

  2. Happy Resurrection Sunday to you! After attending church services, we enjoyed a wonderful day with our families (in addition to our nuclear family, both my husband’s extended family and mine – a full house with a lot of love) as we celebrated our Messiah. As the old hymn says, “Christ the Lord is risen today – alleluia!” Blessings to you and yours.

  3. A few years ago I watched a beautiful musical about Jesus and I watch it at Easter as a special treat. An amazing beautiful time of the year
