Prayer and Fasting Day | November 9th

November 9th we will have a day of prayer and fasting. During that day, I will fast and pray alongside those of you who would like to join me in fasting and praying.

On the sign up link, there is a place to put your specific requests. I will lift up those prayer requests with you throughout the day. The requests are not shared with others but only prayed for and known by myself and my girls, if they are joining me for some seasons of prayer during the day.

The moms who have been part of the prayer and fasting days in the past have indicated that it is a special time of crying out to the Lord and closeness to Him. I know it is for me! They have liked having a sister in Christ pray with them over their specific concerns and have found the fasting to be easier knowing other sisters around the world are fasting at the same time.

If you are pregnant, nursing, or have a health reason that prohibits you from fasting from food, you can still be part. Some in that situation have fasted from media, sweets, or even from chewing by getting their calories and nutrition from smoothies, broths, or other liquefied foods.

For men who are interested in prayer and fasting with Steve, you have the option of one or more days starting Saturday, November 7th, and ending Monday morning, November 16th. Choose a day(s) that works for you. Steve is fasting and praying that whole time. Sorry, ladies, I can’t manage that long of a fast so you only have one day offered!

Trusting in Jesus,
Teri

  1. For some reason it wouldn’t let me sign up. But I’m joining in with you ladies!

Glad you were fasting and praying with us. I close the fasting signups on Sunday night because the fast essentially begins right after the Sunday evening meal.

    Blessings,

  2. Thank you for hosting this fast. I’ve let my eating habits get out of control recently, and this fast helped me regain control and helped me remember “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (Phil. 4:13). Thank you.
