We’re on the road. Praise the Lord. We’re traveling much differently than the last five years. We’re motoring down the interstate in the van. Yes, it’s true. Not even pulling a trailer. Although we miss Uriah, we know traveling in the bus was a season for our family. We miss our cozy home-away-from-home!
A few weeks ago, we wondered if we could do without a trailer and squeeze into the van. It’s only 10 days and 3 events, so maybe. We worked through what we needed to bring and decided we could.
Okay, I’ll confess here. I do not normally pack light. In fact, if this tells you anything, when we first began traveling, I had a duffel bag dubbed Jolly Mountain by my brothers. It was tremendously huge and very awkward to carry. I didn’t use that one too long. But, this trip I packed like a minimalist, and it was not bad after all. 😉
Packing up and out went pretty fast. Preparations were much easier without making meals and getting the bus ready. A special thanks to Joseph and Elissa for a delicious dinner last night and a great time of fellowship around God’s Word.
St. Clairsville, Ohio, is our first stop this weekend! We hope to meet some of you at an Energize! conference.
“For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing?
Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ
at his coming.”
