An Unpack-from-a-Trip Record

Can you believe the night we got home from Colorado, we unpacked in an hour? Seriously. That has to be a record. Amazing.

Joseph and Elissa invited us over for dinner that evening. It was so kind of them! DSC_7569 DSC_7573

Elissa made Mary a purse for her birthday!

the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

  1. Thank youfor your blog. Your entries are both uplifting and give me helpful ideas! This world can be so negative but you are always positive. I appreciate all you share.

  2. Like the welcome home signs from Abby and Bethany – adorable. Beautiful purse Mary got! I wouldn’t mind having one like that 🙂

  3. Unpacking immediately and as quickly as possible upon the return from a trip is something that I watched my own mother do countless times over the years. As such, it became one of my own habits. No matter the trip, as soon as we are in the door, I have the suitcases open and the laundry sorted, the bags emptied and contents organized, etc. My husband is often tired after travelling but he will always watch our little son during this time as he knows how much satisfaction I get from having the house back in order as soon as possible. For my little family of three, I’m generally done with it all within an hour, including getting the first load of laundry in.
It honestly feels like a gift I’m giving to myself because then – I get to rest in my tidy home! 😉
Thank you for sharing pictures from your trip, it looked lovely!

  4. Woohoo!! That’s an impressive record 😉 How sweet of J & E. They must be pretty excited…do they have any name ideas for baby yet? And that purse is adorable! Blessings!

I don’t know if they’re quite settled on names just yet. Your mom must be about due ;). Exciting!
