John Goes International

John is leaving the country to visit friends who teach English as a second language. Please pray for travel safety and for adjustments as he adapts to life in a different culture. We’ll be sharing his adventures through pictures on the blog, so keep an eye for updates over the coming weeks!

Love,
Sarah

“Let the words of my mouth,
and the meditation of my heart,
be acceptable in thy sight,
O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer
.”

  1. Wow, what an exciting opportunity for John! I am looking forward to reading more about this new chapter in his life. Have a safe and blessed trip, John! May the Lord watch over you and those who are working with you!

  2. Praying for John! Which country? That is so wonderful. One of our sons desires to go abroad, but we’re not sure God is calling him to that. How did y’all come to this conclusion? Our son is very determined, but we believe family life is best. Would love some encouragement from y’all. Prayers for John as he follows the Lord’s calling.

    In Christ,
    Christina

The country will be anonymous. In answer to your other question, lots of prayer!

  3. Will be in prayer. It will be exciting to see updates and what God is doing there and does while he is there.

  4. Oh my! What an exciting opportunity! And I’m left with so many questions, haha – will we be privy to which country he is visiting? Or how long his trip will be? Does John have any ambitions to teach ESL?

Nevertheless, he will be in my prayers. I’ll be awaiting an update on his journey – travelling is a great joy in my life and I’m thrilled for John to have this experience ????
    God bless!

The country will remain anonymous, and he’ll be there about 2 weeks. No ambition to teach ESL ;).

  5. May you have safe travels, John! I can’t wait to read about your travels!

    God bless,
    Donna

  6. Praying for you John as you answer the Lord’s call. “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” – Psalms 119.

  7. That is so awesome! I had been praying for a new adventure for someone, but wasn’t sure who. Praying for him, and for you, Steve and Teri as parents. Your letting him go is a big step of faith. I imagine that songs like Trust and Obey and I Surrender All have deeper meaning now, huh? Blessings on all of you.

  8. Praying for John as he travels overseas. May our Lord protect, guide, and bless this precious young man.

  9. Overseas travel opens the heart and strengthens faith. I always ask God to break my heart for what breaks His and My family believes His heart breaks for the poor, for the orphans, for the hopeless. Travel really opens you do that, and gives you desire to do all you can do to help others in Jesus name.
    John 14:18

  10. How very exciting and a beautiful opportunity to share God’s word around the world! Praying he is blessed as he blesses others!
