Prayer and Fasting Day: Monday, March 23rd

We have planned another prayer and fasting day for Monday, March 23rd.

Teri will spend the day fasting and praying for specific needs in the lives of ladies. Steve will be praying and fasting with the men.

To join the prayer and fasting day, we ask that you fast and pray too. For pregnant or nursing moms or those with health issues that prevent them from fasting, you can choose a different type of fast. We have had some fast from sweets, some from media, one creative mom fasted from chewing—she made smoothies for herself when she needed to eat!

We will stop eating after dinner on the 22nd and not eat again until breakfast on Tuesday.

These are the sign-up links where we ask for your name, e-mail address, and prayer request.

We will send out a reminder e-mail before the fast day and perhaps one or two during it.

Here are a few testimonies that were shared after the last fast:

“I had a deep sense of peace and joy during this fast.”

“I feel very blessed. Nobody has ever fasted with me or for me that I know of.”

“My trust in God has grown even through these last few hours.”

“I was nervous starting because I had never fasted before. I am so grateful for the things the Lord revealed to me about myself. I have a lot of work to do on my attitude towards circumstances. I felt a peace around 6:45 and was overcome with joy.”

“During our day of fasting I feel the Lord gave me a very specific idea for how to relate to our struggling son that has already proven effective.”

“A huge praise is my husband prayed with me in the morning; that is more than a praise—it is a miracle.”

“And I set my face unto the Lord God,
to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting,
and sackcloth, and ashes” (Daniel 9:3)

  1. Thank you for your blog in sharing your lives and encouraging people like me to have a close walk with Jesus. You are appreciated so very much!

  2. That’s wonderful that you are calling another fast. This time I won’t be participating. That day is the 4th what we call the “Crashaversary” of our son’s car crash so while praying would certainly help that day, I’m not sure fasting would be a wise thing to commit to. However, I will try to remember to pray for you during that day. Blessings on you all. 🙂
