Happy 13th Anniversary, Nathan and Melanie!

13 years ago today you became husband and wife. 13 years ago today you vowed to love each other in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad times.

Four and a half years of infertility followed, then four girls, one boy, and two little ones (lost through miscarriage) later, your empty arms have been filled–what an amazing journey you’ve been on! Through the intense pain of losing your first-born daughter, to roller-coaster high-risk pregnancies, you’ve truly weathered the hard times in life. Yet through pain and sorrow, God has abundantly given joy. Happy giggles and laughter fill your home, the nursery is occupied, and enthusiasm abounds. Added to that is the eternal joy of seeing Abigail and Bethany accept Jesus as their Savior. You’ve been blessed.

We are grateful for your love for Jesus, your desire to raise children who will be ambassadors for Him, and your hearts for each other.

Nathan’s Personality: creative, generous, hard-working, spontaneous, witty

Melanie’s Personality: resourceful, a fun mom, organized, caring, compassionate

  10. Nathan and Melanie, the story of your marriage really touched me. You’ve gone through valleys at the hand of a great and loving God. And surely He strengthened your faith through hard times. And He also blessed you so richly. I rejoice with you.
    We also waited for children for 6 1/2 years and it is now nearly one year ago, when a little boy joined our family. Praise the Lord! (I’m excited whether the Lord will give us more, like in your family. But it’s up to Him.)
