The Lord graciously sends encouragement from readers. Here’s one that arrived today in the mail.“Oh that men would praise the Lord for his goodness,
and for his wonderful works to the children of men.”
Psalm 107:8

Happy 13th Anniversary, Nathan and Melanie!
13 years ago today you became husband and wife. 13 years ago today you vowed to love each other in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad times.
Four and a half years of infertility followed, then four girls, one boy, and two little ones (lost through miscarriage) later, your empty arms have been filled–what an amazing journey you’ve been on! Through the intense pain of losing your first-born daughter, to roller-coaster high-risk pregnancies, you’ve truly weathered the hard times in life. Yet through pain and sorrow, God has abundantly given joy. Happy giggles and laughter fill your home, the nursery is occupied, and enthusiasm abounds. Added to that is the eternal joy of seeing Abigail and Bethany accept Jesus as their Savior. You’ve been blessed.
We are grateful for your love for Jesus, your desire to raise children who will be ambassadors for Him, and your hearts for each other.
Nathan’s Personality: creative, generous, hard-working, spontaneous, witty
Melanie’s Personality: resourceful, a fun mom, organized, caring, compassionate
Happy Anniversary!

Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit: A Special Evening
I realized I haven’t told you all about our ladies’ meeting that happened January 12th. So let’s back up about two weeks. It was a cold, January day, and we were excited to be able to share with ladies in our general area. Dad and Jesse came along (John had a business commitment) to help us with set up and sound items.
A few months ago, Angela contacted us about the possibility of Mom speaking for her homeschool group. She had heard Mom give Homeschooling with a Meek and Quiet Spirit about 8 years ago, and being new with homeschooling, it had been a huge encouragement to her to keep on. Now, she wanted to share that with the ladies in her group. Little did she realize what a rippling effect this would have. What started with the influence on her life 8 years prior would now reach over one hundred ladies that evening–a hundred-fold blessing!
Homeschool moms are a special group. They pour their lives into their children, giving them everything they have. They desire to raise men and women of God. As everyone knows, though, being a mother brings its challenges, but being a homeschool mom adds an entirely different dimension to it. Mom gave them hope, sharing what the Lord did in her life through the years. Ladies loved it!
Love,
Sarah

one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous.”

Mommy, Mommy.
January 22nd. A sad day in history.
Imagine for a moment: a beautifully-formed baby, his heart beating strong, “safely” snuggled inside his mother’s womb, listening to her voice, but little does he know where she’s headed. Her mother-heart telling her no, yet others telling her yes, she goes against everything she knows is right and enters the doors of an abortion clinic. She’s about to make the biggest mistake of her life.
Mommy, Mommy. Please don’t let them — her baby would plead with her if he could.
Mommy, Mommy. I LOVE you. I want you to hold me, to rock me, to be my mommy — her baby would plead with her if he could.
A mother’s womb should be the safest place on earth, but it’s not anymore. This little one, if he could say something, he’d plead for his life. He can’t. But you can.
“Open thy mouth for the dumb
in the cause of all such as are
appointed to destruction.”
Proverbs 31:8
Please remember the unborn and unwanted. Even though unwanted, they are still precious. They don’t have a voice, but you can be their voice.

“… and plead the cause of the poor and needy.”
Proverbs 31:9

A Work Day at Joseph’s House
We haven’t caught you up on a work project at Joseph’s house for awhile. He gutted his basement about a year and a half ago, but with his blossoming relationship with Elissa last year, well, that got put on hold.
Dad wired last Saturday, while Joseph finished framing things out. They also enjoyed great fellowship in the process. We Maxwells love work projects–you get something worthwhile accomplished while fellowship. Talk about great teamwork!
Joseph’s office will be in this area. He’ll also give his ITonRamp HTML-Step One in Website Design and CSS-Step Two this spring in his new office, Lord willing!
Dad’s wiring the storage room here.

receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship
