Joseph and Elissa’s Open House

Since Joseph and Elissa got married out of state, they wanted to have an open house for friends and neighbors after they got settled in.

Saturday was the day, and what an awesome time we had! We loved seeing many friends and neighbors. There were also light refreshments for those who wanted them.

Joseph and Elissa have made such a cozy, inviting home.

  1. Their home does look so lovely and inviting.
Looks like everyone had a very nice time, and the refreshments looked yummy! 🙂
Enjoyed seeing pictures of the “Littlest Maxwells” too—so adorable!
Couldn’t help noticing the beautiful sunflowers in one photo. That’s my favorite flower! (even though it’s the state flower of Kansas, and not Georgia!) 😉
Thanks for sharing this post with us.
    Love, Mrs. Patti

  4. It looks like you had an awesome time, indeed! What a godly radiant couple Joseph and Elissa are! How awesome to see pictures of Joseph and his lovely bride in the home Joseph (and many family members) helped fix up. Precious, is one of the words that comes to my mind.
Thank you for sharing your pictures and what is going on in your lives. Again, you are an excellent godly testimony.

What was that drink you were serving?

    In Christ,
The same recipe of punch they served at their wedding reception.:)

  8. Beautiful home! Joseph and you other Maxwells have done a lot of work to make it so nice!

  9. Such a lovely couple and wonderful family! It’s such a delight and blessing to see God working in your lives and the blessings and love He surrounds all of you! Your posts always brighten my day. 🙂
    Thank you!!

  10. What a lovely get-together. The house looks great — it’s been a long time since you posted updates. I am intrigued by the solution to the back yard (through the dining room slider) of the stone wall blocks. I remember there was a drainage problem that had to be dealt with and it looks like the grading project was the solution. Lovely home, I hope they are very happy there.

I know. A long time since I’ve posted a Joseph house update. 😉 And yes, they’re very happy!

  11. Oh, that sweet Joshua is sooo cute and such a character with the blue sticker on his forehead. He loves to sit on his Grandpa’s lap. I bet they have great chats. 🙂
    Yes indeed!!

  12. What an incredible way to reach out to neighbors and show them the love of Christ. We are so happy for J & E. May your first year be filled with memories abundantly above what you imagined. Enjoy growing and bonding as one. May it also be filled with opportunities to Serve Him in ways you could not have as single people. Marriage is our favorite gift this side of eternity. May you both find it to be yours as well. The home is looking beautiful. Inviting and yet a comfortable sanctuary for a beautiful couple. Blessings to all.

  13. How cute Abby, Bethany, Tina, and Drew look in that picture!
Joesph and Elissa make a precious couple.
