  1. We’re so excited! Last night we were reading Summer Days with the Moodys and got to the chapter about the ChorePacks. Harmony lit up and said, “They do Chorepacks too?”

    Awww. That’s cute.

  2. Yeah! So excited!!!!!!!!
Who is the dog on the cover? A new pet? ๐Ÿ™‚

It’s actually the same dog we used on Books #2, 3, and 4 ;).

  3. From a girl’s point of view, Buying a House Debt Free would also be a good book for us girls – in fact it would make a great present for any couple getting married – I certainly hope to contribute towards buying a house if I ever marry. Saving for a house is important knowledge that we girls need to know as well!
Heather you are right. It helps the young man and woman be on the same page.
    Thank you.

  4. Hi Sarah. Can you share how you schedule time to write and what your writing process is like (I.e- computer verses pen and paper, 8 hours a day, marathon hours of writing right before a deadline(like me lol) that sort of thing?

    Thank you.

What I do is take care of other priorities in my day first, and then write with what I have left. I would say when I’m doing my first draft, I probably write 4-6 hours a day. I definitely do it on the computer. When I get to the editing scene, I’m probably editing close to that too. I don’t just do weekdays; I’ll take Saturdays too. I think for me personally a marathon approach wouldn’t be helpful. Honestly, you can only keep your concentration for so long. I do set deadlines (copyeditor and press date), but that just helps me work toward it. There are so many components involved in the writing process, as I’m sure you know!

  5. Congratulations on your new book. These are such a blessing to read to our younger kids. We have found it a challenge to find wholesome books out there. Are all the Moody books about the same reading level? At what age do you think a child could read it on their own? Up until now we have read them to the younger kids but at some point I would love for them to read them on their own. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication to making these books. May God bless you for using talents and abilities He has given you to honor him.

Yes. For a child reading it themselves, I suggest ages 7 on up. For read aloud comprehension, children as young as 4 understand them. Blessings!

  6. Congratulations! I read the sample pages and the grill fire description had me laughing! Been there, done that – especially with those franks with the cheese in the middle! Again, congratulations, Sarah!

  7. Congratulations, Sarah! We have been eagerly awaiting these new books since we talked earlier this year! Thank you for your ministry to our family and so many others. God bless you!

You are sweet! It is exciting to have done ;). God has been so gracious!

  8. Yay!!! Can’t wait to read it!! Congratulations, Sarah! Thank you for blessing so many through these sweet, fun, God-honoring books!
    Blessings in Jesus,

  9. Congratulations Sarah! ๐Ÿ™‚
I’m sure your books have touched so many young lives.
The dog on the cover is precious (reminds me of the dog you all used to have…Honey?). So sweet.
    Love, Mrs. Patti

  10. Ordered both last week. We started reading them when she was five and are very slowly making our way through the series. Little brother (4) wants to read them too so when I finish with Big Sister (now 6) I’ll start over with him.

When we got to the part where the twins were born she jumped up and yelled, “Daddy! The twins are here!” and was very excited. She started to pray every night that “Mommy will have twins someday!” We babysat a friend’s baby one day while she had a doctor’s appointment and I let Big Sister help feed the baby. I told her that if we ever get blessed with another baby she’ll be a great big sister to that baby. She whispered to the baby we were watching, “I’m praying for twins!”

Thank you so much for writing these. You and your whole family is such a blessing.

  11. My daughter loves your book. I just ordered it for her. It is still November 11 for another 1 1/2 hours so she will be delighted with her own signed copy. ๐Ÿ™‚ We purchased the first Moody book at one of your conferences so that one is autographed, too. She owns all the books you (Sarah) have written and they are favorites.

Yes, ma’am! I signed her book, and it was shipped yesterday with the other pre-orders. I hope she’s blessed by this one too ;).
