The Atlantic Ocean

This morning, we had the privilege of spending some time exercising on the beach at Sullivan’s Island before we headed out. There is something awe-inspiring to me about the wide expanse of water, the sound of the surf, the sandpipers scurrying out of the way of each wave–it’s all so pretty. Our Creator is amazing!

We’re now in the Savannah area and will catch up on some things before our conference Thursday evening.

"Welcome, Maxwells!"
“Welcome, Maxwells!”
A lighthouse.
A lighthouse.
Glad this guy wasn't alive.
Glad this guy wasn’t alive.

“But I am the LORD thy God,
that divided the sea, whose waves roared:
The LORD of hosts is his name.”
Isaiah 51:15

  1. Oh! I so love the ocean. The sounds and the smells…there is nothing like it. Thank you for sharing the pictures of it.

    In Christ,

  2. I hope your family enjoyed Savannah. It is a great town! I hope you got to try some yummy southern food. I was also glad a cool front came through for your travels, because our summers are brutal. Hopefully the Orlando trip will be enjoyable as well. Elissa is beautiful! Congrats. Love seeing the pictures

  3. Wow what fantastic waves, the white sand and the lighthouse in the distance.

I LOVE lighthouses and our family always visits as many as possible on vacation.

Hope the conferences are going well.

    Love Cathy.

  4. I am a lifelong desert dweller– what IS the guy you were glad wasn’t alive? 🙂 I am ignorant when it comes to things you find near the sea… So happy that you all got the chance to enjoy God’s creation!

Not sure. Maybe someone else can help us out with that.

  5. The thing you were glad wasn’t alive was just a horseshoe crab – it wouldn’t have hurt you 🙂

Nice to know, although I still don’t think I would have wanted to hold him.
