Tennessee Hearts: Part 1

We received a warm welcome in Tennessee yesterday afternoon. Set up went smoothly (and quickly too!), and we were grateful the heavy rain had stopped. Our coordinator and some of her friends provided us with dinner, which was delicious.

This was our first evening Energize! conference, and I was surprised by the great turnout for the 5pm round-table sessions. They are bonus sessions because we know some families can’t make it to those with the dad’s work schedule.  A little after 6 pm (round tables go to 6:30 generally), we asked if there were any young people interested in learning to write, and if so, I would do a little spur-of-the-moment session with them. Apparently there was interest–a lot of interest–as I soon had a room full of anxious listeners. We had a great time together. I wasn’t sure how it would flow, but it went well.

These little girls were in the back of the Schedule Triage session, and I believe stickers were a highlight.

Part 2 coming later. We’re looking forward to Greensboro this weekend.

  1. Dear Maxwell family, so many exciting things happening all at once! We are praying for you all during this wonderful time. My husband would like to know if you have any future plans to travel to Australia to bring a conference here? Or perhaps recording one of your conferences that we could purchase?

May the Lord continue to richly bless you all

Sorry but we don’t have any plans to come Australia. We do have many of the sessions as audio downloads. Blessings,

  2. I really enjoyed the conference and the writing session! The writing session was very interesting and I think it ended too soon! 🙂 I hope y’all like Tennessee! 😀
