A Family Hike and Dinner

Tuesday morning, most of us (except for N&Ms family) went on a hike Christopher and Anna Marie had done several years ago.

We started our climb up to a lake a little after 10. The hike was pleasant and a bit steep at times.  At the lake, we ate lunch, and some went on to climb up to a ridge while some of us enjoyed extra time at the lake before heading back down.

That evening, we went out to a local restaurant for dinner. I’m grateful for this time to enjoy the mountains and rejuvenate!

Joyfully His,
Sarah

Ruthie didn't feel like sleeping much, so instead, she cried. She has an extremely healthy set of lungs, and it is piercing. Anna wished she had brought earplugs ;).

  1. Poor little Miss Ruthie. Maybe she’ll get used to it soon. Looks like she’s going to have to having been born into this family. Good job packing her Anna. It shows that ya’ll are having so much fun as usual. God Bless

Today it was cold with rain.

  3. Looks like a fun time! Is that heavy to carry Ruthie on your back while hiking? What kind of food did y’all eat, Mexican? 🙂

Ruthie was heavy, as you also have the weight of the backpack. Not Mexican this time–but a home-town place that is really unique. You don’t choose off a menu, rather there’s only one main-dish option: Filet mignon (you can choose your size), a baked potato, bread, and salad. It’s delicious!
