Sunday we had a special time. Anna, Mary, Abby, and Bethany surprised Mom with chocolate chip muffins for breakfast. It was a beautiful, first “real” day in Colorado, with a delightful time of worship of our precious Saviour, Jesus Christ. Then there was time on the ponds, time to talk, and also a special time of celebrating Mom’s birthday.
Here’s a peek into our day.
Joyfully His, Sarah
Abby made Grandma a potholder and another special thing. Joshua works really hard to close his eyes when praying. Joshua had a great time out in the canoe with his daddy. Joseph and Bethany really motored around the ponds. When Joshua saw Anna, he said, “That’s Aunt Anna; she’s in the big rig!” A conference or something? The birthday girl and her granddaughter. Jesse and Abby Worship Little Drew loves to snuggle. Christopher and Abby made Rice Krispy treats for Mom’s dessert and bless Anna’s heart: she made 60 enchiladas (okay, we can really eat ;)).
Abby read to GiGi. Anna Marie and Bethany and Ruthie. Gift time!
“Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.” Psalms 103:5
That water! The canoes look like they’re floating in mid air! Beautiful…
What a sweet update! It looks like a wonderful time is being had by all, with much more to come, I’m sure 🙂 —- We are ;).
Looks like you’re having a great time! Can’t wait to see what the rest of your vacation looks like.
Beautiful pictures! Ruthie is getting big! how much older is Joshua to Ruthie? Drew getting big! how old is he now? —— Joshua and Ruthie are about 21 months apart. Drew is 6 or 7 weeks old?
Looks like a sweet time! How great that the Lord has raised up such a loving family. What a priceless treasure these days!! How funny that you have warm clothes on! Here in TX, it’s quite opposite. 🙂 Thanks for updating!
Beautiful pics of the family and God’s creation. What a blessing that all of the Maxwell family could be together for the trip.
You all seem like you are enjoying yourselves and thank you so much for sharing this trip with us.
That looks like a lot of fun. It really surprised me to see how big Ruthie is, time is absolutely flying by:) It made me smile to see the picture of Joshua praying. What a sweetie. I can remember my youngest brother doing that. How do I know?? K so maybe I did peek a couple times too… 🙂 >>>>>> 🙂
It is always a pleasure to see the photos of your annual trip to Colorado. Every year there are more Maxwells to join in on the fun. May your trip give you the rest and refreshment for the seminars this autumn. I must mention that you are a most attractive and healthy looking family! 🙂
That clear water is amazing! Looks like you are having a great time and so glad all the little ones (and their parents) could make it. Your parents must love having everyone together and being a bit out of the routine. With all the young ones, are you managing to stay in one cabin and is anyone getting much sleep? >>>>>> They love having all together for sure! All in one cabin, but different rooms. Sleeping has been great.
