We left home a little before noon. Right now, it’s a delightful, summer afternoon, with rain gently hitting the windshield. Inside, some are resting, some are working, and one is driving. Dinner is in the crockpot, and we’re so blessed to be on our way!
Speaking of blessed, we want to express our gratefulness to Christian Home Educators of Colorado for spreading the word about the Energize! conference. They are a great group and are there to support homeschoolers all year long.
The drive to Loveland is pretty easy, and we’ll get in tonight, Lord willing. I’m looking forward to seeing mountains again!
We’re excited to see what the Lord will do this weekend.
“But I have trusted in thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the LORD, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.” Psalms 13:5-6
Life has been such a whirlwind, and yes, we’re about to dash off on a short weekend trip. It’s been nine months since Uriah’s been conference bound. This trip will be to Loveland–which is north of Denver. The Lord has clearly given the new sessions for the Energize! conference this year.
Our family has been very involved with helping Nathan and Melanie and Company, and since Drew is home from the hospital, less help is needed. God’s timing is amazing!
I look forward to sharing what the Lord will do this weekend. We hope to see some of you there! Back to preparations!
Serving Jesus, Sarah
“But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him, if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul. “ Deuteronomy 4:29
I’m excited to introduce to you Seriously for Dads, a once-a-week e-mail by my dad (Steve) for the serious dad.Seriously’s theme is to encourage the serious dad in his role as Christian, husband, father, discipler, and provider.
Dad’s been writing monthly articles called the Dad’s Corners for twenty-four years and has felt the Lord’s leading to transition to shorter e-mails sent separately to dads. The feedback has been awesome! We still send out the Mom’s Corner monthly.
As always, our desire here at Titus2 is to encourage, equip, and exhort fellow believers in Christ Jesus. Seriously is just another avenue the Lord has led us down.

“But speak thou the things which become sound doctrine: That the aged men be sober, grave, temperate, sound in faith, in charity, in patience.” Titus 2:1-2
I’m not really sure how to convey our gratitude for your prayers for Andrew. He had a rough start, but he has improved all week long. Thank you for praying! I also love to see specific answers to prayer. One mom told me in an e-mail that she’d prayed against the brady’s and was delighted to see the improvement. I know comments left have indicated various prayers. It is awesome to see the answers!
Here’s the latest. It’s possible Drew could come home tomorrow (Monday). Amazing after only being in the NICU for 9 days and being 5 weeks premature. He hasn’t had any significant brady’s, and one of the requirements for coming home was that he not have a brady that required stimulation for 5 days. So far, so good, and tomorrow is the 5th day. Friday night, he transitioned from the enclosed, temperature controlled special NICU bed to a crib–and he got to wear pajamas. So cute! He’s still not doing great in the weight gain category, and his bilirubin (billy) numbers rose since yesterday. The little girls got to hold him last night (see pictures), and they enjoyed it. I asked Abby what kind of noises he made, and she imitated a cute little grunt for me–perfect replication.
Thank you, dear friends, for your prayer support. Drew has made such great progress this past week. Please be praying that he’ll gain weight and his billy numbers will go down.
“And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.” Psalms 9:10
We praise the Lord for Drew’s continued improvement! He looks so different without his oxygen tubes, and we’re grateful his body has adjusted. Three wonderful things happened yesterday: Nathan got to hold him for the first time, they capped his IV, and he had no significant Brady’s! Step-by-step progress. God is good!
Love, Sarah for the rest
“Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength.” Isaiah 26:3-4
