Things continue to be in the waiting mode. Baby Max will be 35 weeks tomorrow. Praise the Lord! This means if he can make it to the 35 week mark before being born, no automatic NICU stay. Wouldn’t it be amazing if he was a strong, healthy baby and could come home soon after his arrival?! We continue to trust and wait. We’re grateful for the nurses and doctor who are taking wonderful care of Melanie and Baby.
Last night, the girls went up to the hospital and enjoyed a visit and dinner with a family who came to visit. Abby and one of their girls were in the NICU at the same time together six years ago, and the families have been friends since. The little girl is wearing the pink shirt in the third picture (and next to Bethany).
Happy Independence Day!
I’m grateful for all those who have served and are serving our country. I’m grateful for our founding fathers who saw how important liberty is. And I’m grateful for the Lord Jesus Who saved my soul!
Serving Jesus,
Sarah

“I will sing unto the LORD as long as I live:
I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.”
Psalms 104:33
Praying not just for 35 weeks, but 36!
Happy 4th of July to your family from ours!! We thank and praise the Lord for what He has done with baby boy and Melanie and all the family. We so appreciate your witness for the Lord through it all!! We are still praying.
“Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.” Psalm 75:1
I am so happy to hear that Melanie and baby are doing well and patiently waiting.
I have a question I thought of the other day regarding clothing. I know that you don’t make all of your clothes but I wondered where do you find such beautiful clothing as in the family pictures and matching outfits for conferences and such. Our family also ministers in a nursing home and sings at our church and we like to coordinate colors too. We have five daughters and two sons. Do you order these outfits from somewhere? If so, where?
Thank you,
Shell

Thrift stores, on-line sales, store sales, it takes a lot of effort. Mary takes the lead on that. No easy answer.
Yes, it would be wonderful for Baby Max. to be healthy and strong when he is born! That is my prayer! Praise God for the love and support being given to Melanie (and family) through family & friends.
How cute, looks like the kids had fun!
Keeping Melanie, baby and family in my prayers… Isn’t it so wonderful knowing that God is in control and he doesn’t make mistakes. His timing is perfect.
Happy 4th of July to you all from Saskatchewan!!
🙂
I was surprised to visit the blog tonight and read about Melanie and Baby Max. I hadn’t realized that it had been that long since I’ve been on the computer to check your blog.
I’m so glad that Baby Max has waited to make his appearance. Our fourth child was born at 36 weeks and although we stayed an extra day at the hospital, she was able to come home with me when I was released. She’s a healthy 11 *almost 12* year-old now.
I’ll be praying for you Melanie as you wait and will also be praying for Baby Max to continue to grow healthy and strong.
As always, thank you for updating!! Been praying for Melanie and baby a lot!! Also the family! I know it’s a trial, but it is also so amazing to see how the Lord is in control.
On a side note, we recently moved to Texas and are renting a home on some property. Our landlord has given permission for us to have chickens! Many of our neighbors do and are so helpful with information, and our kids (12 through 1) are very excited. We found your post on the girls chickens so helpful! Also, Nathan’s description on how he made the watering bucket was also so great. Thank you!

More Chickie Mamas on the way for sure!
So glad for the update and that Baby Max is still where he needs to be to get stronger by the day. Hang in there, Little Guy! I’ll bet Melanie is going a bit stir-crazy being in the hospital when she’s used to being a busy lady, and it’s so nice that you all take turns visiting and keeping her company. Every day is precious!
